Does anyone have a host at Mandalay Bay they would be willing to PM their hosts contact info? I usually stay at MGM but would like to stay somewhere else next month. Thanks in advance!

I know a great guy over there, if you want I can have him reach out to you, message me your contact info. That is unless you want to give Total Rewards properties a try :) Either way, I'll help you out.

9000 coin-in, or you literally feed 9000 through the bill feeder in a weekend? I was introduced to a MB host by a friend and he has been awesome! He also happens to be a slot host. His initials is PK.

Just curious, I thought the greatest compliment a host can get from existing customers is a referral as his livelihood depends on expanding client base.

How come some people keep their host so close to the vest?
(PM, identified by initials only) what does it matter?

Btw mandalaybay.com posts their host roster, tho there are a couple hosts not listed

The biggest compliment is a good referral. The worst thing you can do is burn a host by sending someone over who you can't personally vouch for, your host overextends based on your recommendation, and then gets burned. Your relationship with a host is about trust. Most people do not want to risk their relationship with their host to help someone else out they don't know and can't verify.

There have been discussions about this subject on threads here in the past. My opinion, although not explicitly stated by other members, is that some people feel special or better by having an exclusive host. They only want to refer gamblers to their host if the new player plays big. I guess I sort of see that attitude (makes you feel more important, or belonging to a more exclusive club), but I don't agree with it.

I see, I thought we could just bridge connection then the two parties would negotiate & come to terms.

If it doesn't work out beyond the first trip, no harm done.
Much like mutual friends setting up a blind date.

I think you need to differentiate between "recommendations" and "referrals". I can understand someone not wanting to personally refer a stranger. I don't have close relationships with any host but if I was going to refer someone and have my real name attached to it I would want to know the person or at least be very confident that they were legit.

But just recommending a host "anonymously" especially when they are listed on the website is no big deal. The person could just as easily call that host by randomly picking, all you're doing is pointing out which one on the list you'd recommend. Same as recommending anything else to people on this board.

By the way, I think posting only their initials is just good internet etiquette. It's easy to look up which host the initials refer too and I'm not a fan of posting a person's real name on a public board without their permission.

    I understand your point.
There is a difference between saying "go see mike" vs
"go see Mike & tell him i sent you, Mike will take care of you"

I would think 9000 coin in, as 9000 lost would easily be 20,000 or even more coin in. On a recent trip I started out with $1,000 cash and hit multiple hand pays in the first hour picking up $11k. It all went back and I had more like $20k in coin in.

It is around 9000 coin in, sometimes more, sometimes less. I live in So cal so I visit about once a month. I am comped rooms at MGM and Total Rewards has given me comped rooms at all properties in addition to free shows and gift cards. I prefer the MGM properties because I don't like leaving the property once I arrive and the restaurants are just better in MGM properties.
This has been my first post on this website and I can see both sides. I was simply looking for a name and email, wasn't planning on name dropping any of your names. If I contact the host and they say no, I can always return to MGM or pay the promotion price of $39 and seek out a host when I get there.
