We're all ready for our trip in early October. We are not "high" rollers, and prefer fun tables. We're looking for $5 or $10 "FUN" tables. Mirage always seems to be fun, but we are staying at Monte Carlo this time. Any suggestions? Also, we're going to try the craps at SLS LV. Have any of you tried it yet?

    Thanks!

Fun mostly depends on other players but the next best thing to get things going are friendly dealers. My top two are The Cromwell and Downtown Grand. Both of those places have very friendly crews.

Another surprise was The Westin, behind Ballys and The Cromwell. The dealers there are lots of fun.

On the higher end, The Wynn was pretty good.

I'll put a plug in for the CRAPS dealers at Planet Hollywood. Extremely helpful and friendly...I have an awesome time EVERY time I'm there!

    1. Wynn/Encore
    2. Cosmo
    3. Palazzo

Worst is TI. No MGM property should be on here, they short your rating every time and sweat the bet.

Just as an FYI, if you are playing at Wynn/Encore don't drop the F-bomb.....I personally they are a little too uptight, but I love the casino/hotel!

Forgot about COSMO, craps at Cosmo is also an awesome FUN place to play!

Agree Cosmo is fun, the tables are right at a 'Y' so there is lots of people watching between throws. Best dealer I've ever seen in vegas was at a craps table at Cosmo. Also, usuall when I go they are only $10.

I always had fun at the Flamingo, with respect to the F-Bomb comment above I saw a guy almost get tossed from the table after a very loud "F-THIS" after a 7.

Funny about the post about the F-bomb...my buddy was on a serious 25-30 minute roll and I yelled "F-YEAH" a couple times and the pit boss said "No more F-bombs" but he was cool about it so no biggy - that was at the Golden Nugget.

My favorite places to play craps and I've played at just about every single casino on the strip and some downtown:

Aria - it is ALWAYS fun here, fantastic dealers and usually a good mix of people
Wynncore - usually good dealers and a good vibe
    Cosmo - Love the vibe
Excalibur - usually a good crowd mix and it's always laid back, usually lots of beginners just learning so the dealers are really friendly but do a good job of keeping the game a good pace
Cromwell - absolutely fantastic dealers, many of which were younger and had great attitudes and loved to really join in on the fun (i had some interesting dealer bets going my first time there with my friends and they were all yelling about as loud as we were), the drink service is absolutely the best you will find in any casino bar none.

    Hit or miss:
Bellagio - sometimes you will get crabby old dealers
Planet Hollywood - I've always had good dealers but the players I've been around there are hit or miss each time

    Disliked on multiple occasions:
Mandalay Bay - I've played there 3 or 4 times and have had bad dealers every time, if I'm working nickel hardways for the dealers (which I do often) I expect them to at least crack a smile.

Actually, I really like craps at MC where the OP is staying. Well, it has been a few years since I played there. But the morning and daytime crews were always fun. I know a few of them moved over to Aria when it opened, but hopefully MC craps still has the same vibe

The 4AM to 12 noon shift at the Cosmo is my absolute favorite crew.
I've played with these guys since 2011, when they still paid triple on the 12 in the Field.. ahh, the good old days.

Sandy, boxman, aka the Nerd, gives me great ratings
Heather, saved my ass once after I nearly lost my shirt trying to Martingale the Field, by suggesting that if I wanted to Martingale, then I should do it on the Don't Pass
    Bert, tells the funniest jokes
Loren, low-key, great memory, good guy
Dave, Seahawks fan, does his hilarious Hawk squawk
    Wa-Li, quiet but efficient
Eric, easy to talk to, has a lively banter.

Also, the crowds are usually thinned out by 5 to 7AM, and it is fun to see the many and varied "Walks of Shame" at the Cosmo....

Not to hijack, but does anyone remember the old craps table in the front at Slots-O-Fun? That was a great table.

The most fun tables are the hot ones! It doesn't matter where the location is - if the table is paying I am having a blast.

I have played at most of the strip places with the exception of Luxor, Excal, Mandalay, Flamingo, PHo, Encore and Paris.

I enjoy Palazzo, Venetian, Mirage and Cosmo.

Casino Royale's dealers and pit bosses are surly and sarcastic and sometimes downright assholish...and they only have one table in there now.

I will be playing a lot while i am there in a couple weeks and want to hit the places I haven't played yet.

I am not a craps player either, but Planet Ho croupiers really made an effort to teach craps bets and make it fun for new players.

Also, gotta give props to Ballys, they really tried to drum up a good game at 9am as I was walking through...dropped a quick pre-noon $100...:rolleyes2:

    low limits on these btw...

I generally have had great experiences at Planet Hollywood, Cosmo, Bellagio, Flamingo, and I really like Bally's too.

Excalibur's craps tables were more fun when they were by the party pit. Since they moved them to the center of the casino the energy is way different. Jmo.

I enjoy the Cosmo for craps too. I sometimes get some AM craps in but the afternoon crew is good too Steve will watch out for you making sure you press correctly and gets your normal bets back up. He will also let you know when you might could call it a session. The boxman for his shift is good too but I keep forgetting his name has a mustache in his 50's.

I noticed Excalibur is a fun casino, in general. Maybe I was just with a fun group at the table.

I tend to like MGM Grand for craps at night. There is a wide variety of table mins. Tables are always packed. Dealers are good. Watch out for ratings...they suck!!!

Luxor was very lively. Dealers are friendly. Ratings are good. It can get annoying when the drunks come in to play.

MB is hit or miss. Some crews are lively. Some suck. The ratings are pretty spot on. It's a much quieter place to play craps.

MC did it once. Never again. Ratings suck. Crews suck. No life to the casino.

Margaritaville has fun dealers and fast drinks. Harrah's has lots of characters at the tables. Might not be profitable, but very fun.
