I heard about this earlier today and mentioned the story to 6 or 7 different guys in the office... every single one of them smelled their watch as they laughed!!!

I'm sorry, but was it really necessary for the author to include what the watches were covered in when they were found? Come on, are you kidding me?

I grow more resolute in my "watches are frivolous" attitude daily! :evillaugh

I died laughing thinking of the cop who was the receiver of the watch taken out as the lady was fidgeting around. "Here you go, officer!"

That is so disgusting!!! Sadly after working in a juvenile detention center, I have seen far worse things then watches coming from that area!!

This happened again? I recall reading a story from a few months ago that was very similar.

Indeed. I spent four years working corrections (one of them on Texas' Death Row), albeit in male prisons, but I have seen some crazy stuff. Stories for days!

Maybe if we're ever in Vegas at the same time I will pass some along. Many of them are gross and many are just messed up. Especially the Death Row ones. I could write a book about that year I spent working it

Reminds me of that scene in "Pulp Fiction"
where Chris Walkin gives the little boy the watch
his father - "hid this hunk of metal up his @ss"
    in a POW camp.........for you.

I guess,I'm stupid...and drunk....I would have kicked that stun gun out of her hand
or at least "man'd up" on the stinkin' thief.
But the guy did the right thing + caught them.

    I couldn't wear THAT watch again !
Did he send it out to a jeweler to be cleaned ?
