I lost my Noir card. I left it the Lion machine at MGM during my last trip. I never play slots except for that so usually I don't remember to put the card in, this time I forgot to take it out.

No big deal, just the card. Not much you could do with it except cut a line or such.
Now I've noticed my MLife points going up. Not by much, maybe about 10-20K points a day.
Why would anybody want to play with the card, do they really not know it doesn't do anything for them?

Finally got an email from my host. Told him I wasn't in town on the down-low, it was somebody using my card.
He thought it was strange but not concerned as he always knows when I'm in town.

    Just very odd.

Yeah that is weird. The offender must think the Noir card has mythical powers...but you're getting the points so that's cool

What if he thinks its his? Maybe he played behind you. For me, 10-20k points per day is massive.

I'd be pissed...it is diluting your average. Sure your host can tell the difference, but what happens when your host leaves or you have to deal with a different host? They're going to go by what the computer tells them about you.

What TY (funny, that's my initials) said could be it. Maybe the next person thought he put his in but forgot that he didn't, and grabbed the card already in there when he left, thinking it was his. I usually play at CET properties and 10 to 20 thousand MLife points equates to around 2 to 4 thousand Total Rewards points. Although small to a Noir player, it is significant to a Diamond player and below at Caesars. Since your host knows, he should know not to use those points when figuring your daily average.

Good point. Probably should change player's card number next time.

Why do you check your points every day? I am Noir but never look at my points and hardly ever log into the website. I go to Vegas all the time but just call or email my host. Is there something on the website I am missing?

I'm about to go back, so I check my points to see what they were when I realized they had gone up. So I checked the next day and the same thing.
Just happenstance that I'm going back Saturday. I generally just check before a trip to keep track for each trip.

I or my employees do go to all the Vegas properties sites often, but it is a job related thing. So I'm usually snooping around the MLife site about once a month.

I don't care too much about it, just was surprised that anyone would do that. It'll dilute my average, but I go often enough and bet enough that it won't matter.

It's not the first time I've lost a card. I'm sure they'll find out soon enough that they aren't benefiting themselves.

If you want to look at it from a skeptic's angle you can argue the host would rather it stays this way because he'd still be getting credit for all of the play that goes on the card. For Bo, on the downside it's lowering his average value to the casino but on the plus side he's accruing ECs and PP from this other guys play.

Just be careful when the guy hits a handpay with your card. The past few handpays I had, they never asked for my ID...they just took my players card and came back with the cash and w2g.

There is something definitely wrong when they don't ask for ID. Every time I had a jackpot win I had to give an ID. They usually requested an SS card, but not everybody carries those around with them. One time my dad won a big bet at a racetrack, and he had to come back with an SS card although that was forty years ago.

I don't understand why they simply don't deactivate the card. I've lost cards in the past and sometimes they are deactivated and I have to get them activated before I can used them.

Doesn't your name show up on mLife slot machines when you insert the card?

It does seem odd that this guy is playing substantial amounts on your card. Hope he hasn't created some other phoney i.d. in your name. As suggested, I think I'd get your host to freeze the card number.

Unfortunately your host was blowing you off and that is especially bad since you are a Noir player.

They can indeed deactivate a specific card without effecting your other cards. I had a similar situation and my host immediately said no problem and had the missing card deactivated.

if its a table game, there is no "deactivate" they just type in the number manually anyways.
the bad thing is if someone tries to use your EC and the service person doesn't check ID. That's where I would get pissed. The coffee shop in Aria by the poker tables often doesn't check ID when using ECs

I have left lots of cards in machines. I tend to check my balance the few days after a trip and would notice strange play. Seems weird that somebody would keep using it.

Maybe it is a system problem that and that is why the host blew you off?

All the Caesars properties I've been to ask for ID whether getting a W2G or using it for purchases. Do MGM properties use the MLife card to verify if 21 years-old? Then I'm sure a lot of underage people will start going to MGM properties.

I was shocked too. They just asked if I was the person on the card and asked if I had any handpays in the past at the property. I said yes to both and away they went. They came back with cash and w2g. This was the case for my last 3 handpays.
