Staying at the Bellagio for the first time. I've been staying at NYNY for several years. Got an email from a host asking if I would like to be their guest about a month ago. Turns out I have a meeting coming up the 15th thru the 18th next month. Host offered a Fountain View room of some sort, limo to and from the airport and $500 for food and beverage. Said he would look at anything else on the back end. Really looking forward to staying there. Been there many times but haven't gambled heavily there. I mostly play 5 and 10 dollar slots. Will have a few roulette sessions as well. Just wondering about people's experiences in the HL slots area. The place is so huge. Anyone have favorite areas of the casino that they like to play?
Bigger selection of HL slots at the Bellagio vs. NY-NY. Keep in mind that your $5/$10 play might make you a "mid-level player" at the Bellagio since there are a lot of high rollers there.
Also, although I agree 100% your selection is going to be a lot better than NYNY, you are likely to not be in the HL room per se as much as you may be expecting. $5 are mostly on the main floor to the west of the craps pit right outside the room itself. $25+ slots make up the consist of the room proper. Just something to keep in mind. You can still use the restroom and host desk and cage in the room if you like though, they won't bat an eye as you'll have decent sized titos hopefully!
They do have some $1 and $5 slots in the Bellagio HL room, but they are the crazy mulitline variety. I did play a little in there last trip on a 9 line top dollar for a bit. I prefered the regular casino floor outside of it with the $5 single line reelers, and did well on them.
Thanks for the input everyone. Hopefully this will be a trip full of hand pays and large TITOs. I like the single line reels as well Oxygenator.

These are all correct. The single line $5/$10 slots are not HL at Bellagio. The HL single line slots start at $25 or you can play the multiline slots that are like penny slots except for $1 or $5 so you are betting over $100 on each spin. You will like Bellagio compared to NYNY but you should know your comps will not go as far. NYNY is one of the lowest end MGM hotels and Bellagio is one of the highest. The same amount of play that will get you a big suite and RFB at NYNY may only get you a regular room and some resort credit at Bellagio.
I'm not an expert on the comp system for sure. Most trips I will put on about 250,000 Tier Credits. I have around $1000 worth of express comps to cover anything the host doesn't. I think the regular fountain view rooms are pretty comparable to the suite I get at NYNY. I was a little surprised getting an email out of the blue from the host at Bellagio. I figure if they like my action I'll be invited back. If not it isn't a huge deal.
I have no doubt it will be a good time. The next best thing to gambling and winning is gambling and losing. At least you had the chance is the way I look at it.
You'll find a lot of HL slots on the main floor especially the area by the hotel room elevators. I sat on a Rome and Egypt machine one time put a $20 betting 40 credits. I didn't realize it was a $0.25 machine so I was betting $10 a spin. Good thing I got a bonus on the first spin and won my money back.
Yep...which is one of my points when I explain my Vegas trips to non-Vegas types. They hear Vegas and the repeated visits and think I need to go to GA or have an intervention. Seriously I bought a couple Vegas books a few weeks ago and a girl in my office started needling me about being a gambling addict. I just laughed and told her she didn't understand. So I can go to a place on vacation for a lot less than many other places (we still go elsewhere too but Vegas is the main spot) and have a chance to win money? Sign me up all day long.
