A few buddies and I are headed to Vegas this weekend, and we'd like to have dinner one night at a nice steakhouse. We're staying at Caesars, but we're open to eating anywhere. Being just the boys, ambiance isn't as much of a consideration as the quality of the steak. What do y'all think??

I recommend STK at Cosmo. I would say that it is a very good, not great steakhouse, but it is right across from the club at Cosmopolitan and you and the boys should enjoy the eye candy while you dine.

Like every other steak thread on the board, I still vote SW at the Wynn. It is the best steak meal I have had in Vegas hands down with Carnevino at V/P a distant second.

35 Steak and Martinis at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino has a pretty good steak.
Jean George at Aria has a great steak.
    STK at Cosmo is excellent.
    Craftsteak at MGM is awesome.

Carnevino is one of my favorites and has a kind of manly, “dudes eating huge slabs of once pampered cow” vibe going on. Plus, the music is great. I also dig SW and Craftsteak.

Of course, I don't think I've had too many bad meals in Vegas steakhouses. The only two that I remember being disappointed by were Heritage Steak at Mirage and Golden Steer out on Sahara.

I agree tha Carnevino is a very manly/dude place. Plus they play rock for background music. I prefer SW but for a group of guys Carnevino would be better.

    My top five:
    1. Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay
    2. SW Steakhouse at Wynn
    3. Redwood Grill at California in downtown
    4. Smith & Wollensky's near MGM and M&M store
    5. Capital Grille at Fashion Show Mall
I have liked Ruth's Chris a lot but only certain ones. I didn't like the one off the strip on Flamingo, but that one is now closed. I haven't tried the one at Harrah's that replaced the Range Steakhouse.
Strip House at PH was also good.
I haven't tried many, so I'm sure there are many other good ones out there. I'm going to Prime at Bellagio next week.

    My favorites...

    1) Craftsteak
    2) Jean Georges
    3) SW

I've had mixed experiences with Jean Georges on the service side, but the food has always been impeccable. I want to try Carnevino sometime soon though!

On the strip, I like SW and Cut.

Off the strip, I like Del Frisco's.

Yeah it does... as does N9NE at Palms... both are very relaxed, hip and GOOD!!! For a bunch of guys... stay outta the stuffy joints.

Gordon Ramsay! After eating there I don't want a steak anywhere else.

2nd fav is Stripsteak at Mandalay Bay.

    Honestly though I haven't met a steak I didn't like in Vegas.

Redwood Grill 32 bucks for a 10 oz filet mignon best around for a decent price. Why pay 3 times that ?
