    My Trip Report

I thought this day would never get here! I have spent months doing research on restaurants that appeal to us and shows to see and slot machines to play all with the help of those on this forum. We flew from Greenville, SC to Houston, TX this morning and are now waiting on our flight to board and leave in about an hour. I hope to do a day by day report with lots of food porn and hopefully some big wins. The BF and I are staying at Wynn for 3 nights comped and then switching to the Plaza downtown for 2 comped nights. Thanks to all who have posted on here answering my questions and offering advice. Y'all are the best!

Our flight landed 15 minutes early! Woot woot! Every second in Vegas counts. Took a taxi to the Wynn and gave the cab driver $25 for fare and tip. I didn't ask for an upgrade when checking in because I am fine with a standard room with or without a view. I was offered an upgrade for $30 and up per night but I politely passed that up. We just got in the room and are relaxing for a few minutes before we hit Vegas hard!

By the way, food porn pics to come tonight when we dine at SW Steakhouse! We may grab a salad at Zoozacrackers in a little while. They have my favorite BBQ Chicken Salad there. I've been waiting for this day since I got back from my trip in March!

Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes! We went to Zoozacrackers for lunch and I once again had the most amazing salad. The BF had a rueben and said it was good. This place isn't on the cheap side with it costing about $35 but it's so good! We played slots around Wynn and Encore for about 3 hours and had a blast. After my $225 free play and using probably at least half of my bankroll in the machines I managed to win most of it back and am only down $30. I asked the CW if they make the Sinatra Smash for gamblers and they don't but I will try it tonight at SW. I did find my new favorite drink which is the grasshopper and it doesn't matter if it's frozen or on the rocks, it is the bomb! I can't tell you how many drinks I have had. Lol We are now back in the room getting ready for dinner at 9. [IMG]

Dinner was at SW Steakhouse at Wynn. We arrived early and went to the bar to wait. I ordered a Sinatra Smash that I had heard so much about and I was not impressed. Perhaps it wasn't made right but it was so terribly strong. We had requested patio seating and although we weren't exactly on the patio we still had a view of Lake of Dreams. The pretzel bread was great and the cheese bread was good as well. I ordered the Salmon which was cooked perfectly and the BF ordered the chicken. He said that it was quite dry but the pork underneath it was amazing. I got the cream corn as a side which I didn't care for the texture. My BF got the macaroni and cheese and it was just alright. We shared the creme brulee for desert and it was quite tastey. The shows at the lake of dreams were I'll just say interesting. The meal with tip was $180 including our pre-dinner drinks. I had really high expectations for this dinner and it kind of fell short. We both agreed that Frog Hollow in Augusta, GA is so much better and a third of the price. It was an experience but I don't think I will be back. I would have been happy with another one of my $15 salads. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
