So I switched my bookings from the Bellagio to the Signature at MGM in February because it was half the price and had a fridge and microwave. We stayed there last year and loved it.

However, upon reading yelp reviews, it looks like it has changed for the worse. It is cheaper now, too.

Does anyone have any experience and can inform me of what kind of changes happened?
I read that you now have to ask for and get charged for dishes and pots/pans. You didn't used to. That blows. Is the blender still complimentary?

    Anything else?

Was this booked thru the Signature website or one of the brokers that rent out the rooms people own at Signature? I don't know for certain, but I think certain things are excluded when you choose one over the other, just not sure who includes what...

I was there about a week ago, and I can say for sure that the blender was in the cabinet in my room. You do have to ask for dishes and pots/pans but I can't say if they charge for them . We did not request them and the card on the counter top that informed us that we would have to request them if we wanted them did not mention a charge.

as far as I know its still the same. yelp is not always 100% accurate in its reviews. some people just complain about everything. ive seen reviews for high end steak houses and people giving low stars because there was no vegetarian option or the fish was not good. or people going to an ayce buffet expecting the best quality meats, seafood, etc. I take yelp reviews with a grain salt, people always complain about something. i personally think the sig is great for what it is, the only downside is the long walk to mgm's casino.

I was just there at the beginning of the month for the 3rd time and it was as great as it was before. You do have to request the dishes and silverware now, but there is no charge. I was confused when the front desk clerk asked if we would need them, since the cabinets were stocked on our previous visits. He said something about how they don't keep it stocked anymore for hygienic reasons, but they will be happy to send them up.

Good to know. Thank you :) Glad we won't have to pay for the dishes.

Yeah, be cautious of that! The Luxury International or whatever it's called (I see it on travelzoo a lot). Not the same thing.

Pretty sure at all the hotels like that you have to ask for dish ware.. Because 99% of people probably don't use it.

Stayed at Signature for the first time a few weeks ago. I had a 1 bedroom suite that was booked directly through the hotel using a Friends and Family promo code that I found on smartervegas.com. I was originally booked in tower 2 but asked to be moved and got a Penthouse 1 bedroom in tower 1. The PH floors are floors 30 - 38. The rooms are not any different from the rest of the floors in the tower other than the one I received. I believe my room number was 32608. There is one room on each floor on floors 30 -38 that has an extra large balcony. The balcony has to be 50 feet long. This is due to the fact that the room is directly next to the elevator bank and has an extended balcony that has a sliding door going into both the living room and bedroom. The room faces the back of the MGM property pool complex, Wet Republic (music is loud in the afternoons) and the airport. Overall, I thought the signature was a great property. The rooms were on par in terms of quality with the Palazzo which is where I nornally stay. I had no issues with service other than it did take a few extra minutes to get your car from the valet (only option available) during busy times. I didn't think the walk to the MGM was that bad and the walk to the MGM pool is actually closer than many of the rooms in the MGM itself. I would definitely book at the Signature again and especially if you can find a great promo rate.
