Something you were totally not expecting, but it happened!

Perhaps a room comp, a discounted meal, a flight voucher, an upgraded car rental class, etc.

A couple of years ago at MB I was on a comp for a regular room for 5 nights, but it was through a host, so I was able to use VIP check in. Checked in around 11:30am and for no particular reason that I know of, they put me in a Sky View suite on 62 with a view right up the Strip.

Flying solo on my last trip to Vegas. At the departing airport the Southwest attendant announced that they had oversold the flight and needed volunteers to stay back for the next flight in 90 minutes. I raised my hand, got a $350 voucher, and continued reading my book :)

Getting a free flight to Vegas on a G4, having some awesome dim sum and getting a free flight back on a G4.

On a separate trip, it was also pretty awesome having the pilot barrel roll the Lear 31 - twice.

I'm assuming you are referring to the establishment that helps pay for the tuition of our nation's future doctors and lawyers?

From what I recall, some guy got a free ride in a cop car from there while his head was covered in a bag because he was puking on everyone.

1984, Super Bowl weekend. I had reservations at The Stardust. Checked in Friday night and they had overbooked. They gave me a voucher to take to the Sahara. The Sahara gave me suite for the weekend at the $29 rate that I would have paid at The Stardust. No doubt they charged the Stardust for the difference. The suite was great and in 1984 that end of the strip was hopping. Great weekend.

All the comp nights Cosmo has been pushing out! I have gotten 3 offers for 2 nights free for pretty minimal gaming. I also received a free night because I made their 2nd tier in card level and got a free night from that. Using the tier level night for a free room next month that was $600!! Although I am staying two nights so it was basically B1G1 free.

I was on a solo trip.
I was leaving at McCarran --- just made it to the counter in time.
I was completely dissheveled.......probably much worse than I thought.
My bag of clothes was just that........all I had was a beach bag for a suitcase.
I plop everything on the counter and show my ticket ( pre - 9/11 days of flying ).
    *
The guy was chuckling and made some comments.......to which I accepted well.
He took my ticket and said "Wait over there...I'll take care of you."
    He left.
After 15 minutes.....I look around.......and everyone has a ticket , in hand , except me.
WTF ?.............I'm starting to get nervous.
The guy is nowhere to be seen.
    *
Finally, somebody hands me a ticket.
    We board.
And I've been "bumped" to FIRST CLASS !
Then, I see the guy walk onto the plane and he smiles at me -
and says "I told you - I'd take care of you."
    I thanked the guy - over + over !!
    * What a GREAT VEGAS STORY !

Had a full size car rented from Alamo, had Chevy Impalas and Nissans. Asked the lot jockey if he had any 300's or Tauruses and he looked at my contract and said it was more $$$$. Then he looked again and said there is a 300 and there is a Taurus, take your pick. I took the 300. He didn't change my rate a penny.

In.June last year I wanted to spend two weekends, one of which was EDC, at Vegas pools to celebrate my birthday. It worked out to a 10 night stay.
I made reservations 6+ months in advance for a Forum Tower room at Caesars for about $500. Ended up in Octavius Luxury with a pool view for the same price.
