Hey all, time for a little rant.....

First off, This is not a rant about how I'm comped, or anything, (I'm super low maintenance for a host-take what I'm given and rarely ask for anything), it's a level/expectation of service type of rant!! Now that I've got that out of the way...

My CET host is based out of CP, and in the past she has done a good job of arranging FP, resort credit and great suites for me at Caesars, Planet Hollywood and most recently at the Paris.

Last month, I spent 8 days at the Paris, and went from Diamond to 7 stars, but I never took my Diamond level two trip yet. I understand that this trip comes with $750 airfare and round trip limo transportation to/from hotel within 50 miles. Also, from what I found out (on my own), is that I have to use this perk before March of 2015. here-in lie the kicker...this trip has to be booked through a host.

I have been trying to get a hold on my host via email since I returned from the Paris, initially, simply to thank her for the great help setting the trip up and letting her know that all went well. Since that initial email I have sent her 4 more emails with various questions (first being this Diamond Level two trip, and secondly this time sensitive 7 star experience that is on a weekend in October) . I FINALLY got a response back, to the tune of... and I QUOTE:

"I am not ignoring but it has been crazy over here – will contact as soon as able ---"

I dropped 19k in that 8 day trip to the Paris, and my ADT has steadily been increasing with each trip to Vegas, but it seems as though my level or service is going downhill....

I've reached out to my new Host at Aria regarding possibly getting Andrea Bocelli tickets for my wife's birthday in December and got instantaneous responses and actually felt like I was "worth his time" (this with VERY little of Play history with mLife ~ 3 days in early July)

So, any idea what I should do here anyone, Should I look for a new host, even though she has been great in the past, or should I wait it out for a response from her and hope that she responds to my relatively simple questions in time for me to book those two trips and a possible 3rd for December for the wife's birthday?

As a side note, if she is busy helping much bigger players than me, or if my play is not worth for her to respond, I wish she would simply say that, or transfer me to a new host. I think that your host should be able to return an email with some level of detail in a month, don't you???

    End Rant....

Thanks for listening to me bitch!

Give her one more shot. If she blows it ask for another host.

I know this feeling all too well. All I can recommend is that the "30 days in advance" rules they list on those 7-star trips are not hard-fast rules. I've used it with less than a week's notice. Additionally, while they need to be booked by a host, you can utilize any host, not just your dominant property host. If your destination is not CP then contact a host at your destination casino. Explain to them that you tried to use your host at your dominant property but she seems too tied up. It won't result in any kind of double-booking of airfare although it may result in double-booking of hotel room, but that's easy enough to correct. Lastly, be very exact with your request when booking these trips through hosts. Give them the flight#, your FF#, and even your preferred seat number. It takes out the confirmation step after Passport Travel relays back to them the trip proposal.

Last week I posted about the Diamond Aspirations trip. My host was able to book it in two days. My previous trip booking was a horror, which took weeks and approximately 15 emails exchanged. Be sure you have have all info up front to make it easier.

I would contact Hunter on this board and see if he can take over for you as your host. She's clearly not doing her job in making you feel special, so it's time to find someone who appreciates your patronage. Hosts are supposed to put in some work to get and retain your business; she seems to have gotten a little complacent on that latter part.

    I don't think this is a host issue, I think it's a corporate one.

I give CET a bit of my overflow play, and they appointed me someone on this tremendously small amount....laughable really after only 3 days play. The person appointed has done nothing other than initially improperly set up my offers, and now- completely ignore requests for setting up my trips. Unfortunately many of the non responder host posts I've seen over time have referred to CET, not exclusively, but many. Given the financial woes of CET, I actually took the time to send a note to their corporate office, sincerely giving a heads up. Your systems are isolating the clients that are players, but then you assign someone who only ignores requests for service. WTF??

Anyhoo....had to laugh when I heard nothing from corporate, but the person assigned called and left a message apologizing for not seeing my 2nd and subsequent email requests. hahaha....so the 1st she meant to ignore I guess, it was the second one she didn't mean to ignore. I've since booked another trip to Vegas and even though my confirmations go direct to her, I've heard nothing from her.

In my case, I can laugh it off with the small play given (not my home property brand) but I wouldn't be laughing at 7 stars. This appears to be a widespread issue at CET, not sure why they are doing it. My host at another property has no problem booking things and sending confirmations within 24 hours.

Every report lately forecasts a certain chapter 11 for them, so I'm not sure if that has any ability to effect things like 7 star trips. I'd get it booked any way possible, with any host, but I personally would NOT accept this at 7 star level. Affluent players could pay their own way (though the comps cover anyway) ....they want the experience in Vegas, which is dependant on the service.

There is NO excuse at your level of play. Something is amiss in my opinion. You don't piss off your best clients. There's many resorts there that would be happy to have you as a client.

I agree with everything you have said....Right now I have an Aria host bending over backwards for me to get me three tickets to the Andrea Bocelli concert at the MGM in December and I have virtually NO HISTORY there, I guess he is going on gut feeling and my 3 days of play in July, if he comes though and the wife is happy with them CET just lost 3 or 4 days of my play (~10k or could be more if I go off).

Yep, I guess that would be called player development and part of the hosts job in determining who they can get a larger share of play from. Again, I laugh.....I'm paying my CET charges with my Centurion card. Duh....okay CET, don't bother making that reservation for me to come in......their loss. As much as we need to have some player history, they need to show they deserve the biz......just my opinion. Good luck!

I would try calling your CET host. I have an opposite host experience as you. I met an Aria host during my April trip who said to contact him in the future before making trip arrangements at Aria. I have tried contacting twice since then for two separate trips and both times my emails got no response. My host at PH, however, responds all the time and has set me up with a room, last minute, on a couple occassions.

In your case, since the host was great up until the recent trip, perhaps she is telling the truth that she is busy. I would try calling or continue to periodically send a friendly email, without sounding too pushy.

Nope, I'd get pushy by this point. 4 emails as 7 stars on a time sensitive booking only to get an email saying I still don't have time for you yet? He's held up to his side of the deal with that level of play. SOMEONE owes him a freaking phone call....STAT, lol!

"Crazy busy over here". Shake ups coming?

If you're booking your flight out of Canada, you may need the 30 days.

First aspiration trip my husband got was a bugger to book. Mainly I think this was because the sales rep was a moron. It was over the $750, only because it wasn't done immediately during a sale period. They had our CC and we agreed to pay the difference. Total nightmare and finally we managed to book a flight out of the US in conjunction with a family trip.

Next time for the Seven Star trip, the new rep did it immediately. Alaska Air has flights through BC so it may be easier for the Total Reward company to deal with an American airline. I don't know if Passport Travel gets lower prices for using selected companies. I do know the longer it takes to get things booked, the higher the flight costs are for CET. Let us do it ourselves we have approval.

I wish I could even get the to the point about having to worry which airline etc, right now I'd like to simply get some answers to some trivial questions.

I'm a little frustrated, and I don't think that I should have to constantly be pinging a "host" begging for a response.

Like I said before, if my play does not warrant her attention then perhaps I should be reassigned? In the grand scheme of things the $750 airfare for the diamond aspiration trip, and the $1200 for the 7 stars trip don't mean much, but comon on peeps, give me the warm and fuzzies at least ;)

Do you have her phone number? Sometimes a call and/or voice mail get a little more attention than an e-mail that can get lost in a disorganized person's in box. Plus you can nicely express your level of frustration in a way that can't be misinterpreted as it can over e-mail.

I would leave a message with something to the effect of. "Hey look if you are too busy or if I am not a big enough player for you no problem, I would be happy to switch hosts. If I don't hear from you by XXX I will assume you don't want to be my host and I will request another one". Be nice about it and make it sound like you don't care if she is your host or not and it might make her feel bad.

Hey GChrome, sent you a PM as well. I am having my director reach out to the VP over at Caesars to grease the wheel for you. Someone over there should reach out to you within a couple days. If not then I'll get it all together for you. Sorry you are having to deal with this.

I say this, but it isn't about making her feeling bad. If the host doesn't have time for you, or you don't fit for the host, the host should tell you.

I've heard lots of complaints about booking the diamond and seven stars trips.
But... I just booked a trip through my host at PH. He got it done with CET's
Passport Travel the same day I requested it. I sent my host a screen shot of the exact flight I wanted with cost visable.
I also included scanned passports (so there was no question of the names being booked) and frequent flyer numbers.
A lot of thanks has to go to my host for rushing it through so I could take advantage of a seat sale. Not all hosts are created equal.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm booked at wynn with a regular panoramic room this upcoming trip but once again I reached out to my MB host and received no response yet from him (maybe too early). I need a 2 br suite again and a host from mirage gave it to me but giving this host at MB benefit of the doubt.

I know he is off Tuesday and Wednesday so I will give him a few more days before I make solid plans incase he is busy for a hotel to make sure where we will be staying .
