I have been getting consistent monthly offers from Cosmo through marketing for 3 anytime nights, $450 in FP and $100 F&B.

I'm planning an upcoming trip that my marketing offer dates haven't yet come up for. Wanting to secure the space, I thought I'd contact the host they appointed me during my last trip. Let them know what 3 nights I was interested in, and asked what is the best offer they could put together for that time.

His response was to use my own two free nights for being gold, and he would comp the third night. then he asked if I needed transportation from the airport, no indication if that was even comp, but I assume not since it's not a gold benefit.

No free play mentioned? No F&B mentioned? Going from three comp nights down to one (technically)?

Anyone have any suggestions here how to proceed? At this point I think I'll likely wait for my marketing offer and hope it will cover the dates I'm interested in. Is it strange for a host to offer less than your usual marketing offers? I've never requested any backend comps on any of my trips, but always book in on marketing offers.

    Thanks for any input-

I play only slots, on my last 3 day trip I earned 10,000 tier credits. Since Last November when I got my identity card I've played there about 8 days total spread over 3 trips, and I've earned Gold tier, but not sure of my total points. Almost all is penny slots.

i thought Cosmo back-end comped me reasonably. That should help with the F&B, but it does suck foregoing that much freeplay.

I would just wait, the hosts offer will always be there. My mailers come monthly August 7 - sept 3 so far. Not sure how early u r trying to book.

Also I notice that the "code" on the mailer is the same monthly, even though you didn't get one, try calling the reservation desk and ask them about the same offer code. Maybe you have something in the system and didn't even know.

This is what I do. I ask my host to use my gold nights and then put my offer on the 1 night they use from my offer. They can combined those two things. THe limo is probably comped as well. I also learned that you don't have to cover your gold nights or free play. So if you take 2 gold nights and 1 offer night you only have to cover the 1 night and any food that is on your offer. Just talk to your host.

10k points in 3 trips? I'd say the response is right. Remember you are dealing with a host not the loose marketing offers people get for barely walking through the casino. It is also the same as spending $2,000. A couple can do that in a single weekend with room, spa and food tabs.

Why don't you go ahead and book it if you absolutely need it but cancel if/when you receive the marketing mailer/email and rebook?

no, 10K points on my last 3 day trip. Over 20K (not sure of total but know I'm gold) in 8 days over 3 trips in a 5 month time frame.

10k in 3 days *should* mean you'll be receiving marketing offers in the mail. Like paperposter and others have said you never really know with Cosmo. Book with the gold offer just to guarantee the dates incase something changes (chances are it won't), wait till your mailer comes, cancel the gold offer and rebook with the marketing offer.

just looking at your numbers , gold in 8 trips from what your saying playing penny slots seems your comps are fine, as i said cosmo comps are all over the place and rooms there coast 15--300 a nite at minium to begin with most of the time and you have pay that comp off first.

if a better offer comes by rebook it but if you have it than take what the host is offering as she is doing it from your play history and if you deserve more on the back end they can always take off more.for f and b, trust me at the prices they charge for meals at cosmo getting your food comped after 3 days can save 500-1000$ anyway

And you have multiple days to cover that comp. In May I stayed on 2 nights from a comp email offer, one free Gold night and then 2 more from my GF's 2 free night offer. My play over all of the days was considered by the host when I went the morning of my checkout.

I'm about to bite the bullet and email that same host as she told me to get in contact with her next time I came so I assume she's "my host" now as I want to go for Super Bowl weekend but my current marketing offer only goes until October.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. Turns out while I was mulling over it, I got a marketing offer in, and interesting, it's even stronger than my last offers...they upped my FP to $570. (I did give them more action last trip). Obviously, I booked it in.

just thinking out loud here, but I notice some people on the boards say they only use their marketing offers as the hosts offer less, while others say they only book with their host since they get so much more than marketing offers. I'm wondering if the difference simply comes from host relationship. maybe with the marketing offers they aren't personally responsible for the play, whereas if they offer it, they are responsible for the play covering the comp. This is the first time I've contacted this host for booking. It would make sense to me he may not be confident I'll cover the comp, which I think is fair.

Does anyone know if this is fairly accurate speculation?

I just got the same 3 day offer, 100 FB and $520 in FP. I'm thinking of going toward the end of October , I think what I'll do is email my host first and ask what he can do for me before I book the marketing offer.

I'm in a similar spot at Cosmo. I had an offer sent to me this past week that's a notch up from my usual. I'm now offered any two nights and $100 in promo chips but is only valid until December 3. I emailed the host I spoke with back in May with my dates in January. Hopefully they'll be able to help out. Otherwise I will wait for the next marketing offer. And worse comes to worse I have a room booked at NyNy for a decent casino rate which is all I can expect since I haven't really played mlife since last summer 2013.
