Haven't been to Magnolia's but we did eat at Market Street Cafe recently.
Salad bar was nice. A lady behind me taught me how to eat edamane as we loaded our plates.
Prime rib was good, came with green beans and potato.
Cherries Jubilee was included for desert.
    Very nice meal for $9.99.
    We ate at the counter.

I would like to say Market St. but then, I never tried Magnolias. So no fair. But I can tell you that in my experiences, Market St.'s prime rib was hit or miss. Last trip was o.k. The trip before that was great! And the trip before THAT was YUCK!!

You tend to remember great prime rib, and also the very bad ones also, unfortunately....

I've had both and I prefer Magnolia's by far. I give Market Street a try a couple of times a year but always return to Magnolia's!

I prefer Binions for the quality of meat. Market St second, and Magnolia's 3rd. Lol, you are going to get a lot of differing opinions.

    Update. We had both recently.

The prime rib at Magnolia's had a slightly better taste, more flavor. Served with a salad, baked potato, and corn. The restaurant seems cramped and it felt rushed, not much atmosphere.

At Market Street the prime rib was served with salad bar, baked potato, green beans and Cherries Jubilee for dessert. The atmospher is nice. My potato didn't seem throughly cooked, somewhat hard. Also the prime rib had more fat/gristle than Magnolia.

For me, the prime rib was better at Magnolia's, but overall I prefer Market Street.

Since it was my wife's birthday month we got BOGO at Magnolia's (didn't ask at Market Street).

I think the prime rib at magnolia's is good, a great value at the price. I have eaten at Lawry's and it is better but triple the price.
