We are booked at MSS for our entire stay and won't be moving. For my brother I also booked Four Queens and I get $80 in free play. In the mail today we both get offers for Downtown Grand. 2 free nights each, free gift (a hat I'm sure) and I got $40 in FP and my wife got the same offer but only $10 in FP.
Understand that we have booked 2 previous, similar offers and haven't run more than $40 through the crappy VP bartops. The offers keep coming, for now at least.

I asked if my wife had to also check in to use her FP and free gift offer and they said no, just take the coupon to the Player's Club. Woohoo, two hats!:evillaugh

I also got an offer from Plaza for 4 free nights and wait for it...$5 in FP. I don't think so. But, my wife wants to do some betting on the Belmont, so I might donate a few dollars on 100 play VP while I'm there. Not as good as Four Queens paytabbles on 100 play, but pass the time and keep her company. The Plaza sportsbook is really nice since they redid it.

    Joe,

If you get a hat it's because you're a High Roller! We were there last week and took our free gift coupons to the player's club. Best thing was a coffee mug.

When we booked at the Downtown Grand the phone reservations person said each booking had to be for the offered two nights (weekends excluded), so we booked one for Tuesday/Wednesday and the other for Wednesday/Thursday (used our Plaza offer for Friday). When we went to the front desk last Wednesday I asked if it was really necessary that we tie up two rooms Wednesday and move Thursday. They said not at all, and booked us into the room we were already in for Thursday. They couldn't believe that the phone reservations person had made us do the overlapping two nighters.

Check out the eight VP machines near the poker room at the Plaza. You may not get comp points for food or free-play, but they are great pay tables on all games and denominations of play.

Good luck! Jose at the Boar's Head Bar said he's awaiting your return!

Am I correct in thinking you don't have to be booked to get the free play at both the D and Four Queens? I'm 99% sure on Four Queens but not so sure about the D. I'm staying at both in June but I have MSS with a silver card for part of the July stay and don't want to double/triple book unless I need to.

    Mwig,

We've never had to be staying at the Four Queens or D to use our free play. Both are just automatically on your card for the offer period. The only one I get that says you have to be staying there for the offers to be good is El Cortez.

I'd probably quadruple book just for the extra $5 FP.

Thanks! Good news. MSS also says you have to stay to redeem the free play which normally isn't a problem as that is "home". I only booked one night there in June and then four in July.

I can confirm that you don't need to book a room offer to use your free play at Four Queens or The D. I did discover that free play can't be used on the VP machines at The D's Vue Bar. At Four Queens, I was able to use my free play on the VP machines at King's Bar.
