Restaurant Lineup For Upcoming Trip

Hello All,

I wanted to post my schedule, and see if I should make any changes. All feedback is appreciated!

This is a 9 day trip and I am fairly young (College Student) to give everyone an idea.

Wednesday: ? (Flight arrives at 4PM)
Thursday: Bacchanal
Friday: STK
Saturday: Wicked Spoon
Sunday: Wynn Jazz Brunch
Monday: Scarpetta/MOzen Bistro
Tuesday: Picasso/L'Atelier
Wednesday: Cut
Thursday: Departing at 1PM

My biggest concern is Picasso VS. L'Atelier

Looks Like a really nice lineup. Are you going alone or bringing a date? If dining solo i would go with LÁtelier otherwise Picasso would be the obvious choice for me.

 

Not so sure it's "by a mile" if you appreciate fine art. And Picassos is no slouch in the food department either...plus less expensive...

Does Picasso have a Michelin Star? I thought they did, but after doing some research I cannot find anything.

If you only take food into consideration I think Picasso is a much better meal. However i wouldn't recommend it to someone dining solo for that LÁtelier is the better choice.

 

Picasso is the clear winner for me then. But to be fair i have not been to LÁtelier in almost 5 years. The degustation meal at Picasso is world class and a full 4 course meal, doesn't get better then that for that price.

 

I may take Scarpetta off the list and add Picasso if possible. The menu at Picasso looked like $115 which is not bad. Only a few in the group will be doing the wine pairings.

 

I've dined at both Picasso and L'Atelier. Both are delicious fine dining, but different.

L'Atelier: Relatively casual (smart casual minimum), fun and interesting counter top dining. More gastronomic - some dishes might disappoint less adventurous eaters.

Picasso: Fine dining with a more white glove approach. Romantic. Jackets preferred. The food delicious and accessible. Awesome artwork and fountain view. Might disappoint hardcore foodies.

I prefer L'Atelier, but there are merits to both.

 

I'd ditch STK and go to Jaleo instead. Let Cut be your steak dinner.

And +1 for L'Atelier.

if your into trying something realy cool look at tetsu (sp) at aria by masa its amazing.

p.s if you need a taste tester incase of food poisoning i live local and im available

 

Eat the Wynn Country Club for lunch on Thursday, move the Bacchanal Buffet to Sunday, and scrap the Wynn Jazz Brunch, since it's just an inferior version of the Buffet.
