What do you think about Oscar's at The Plaza? Anthony Bourdain mentioned it on his recent show about restaurants in Vegas.

It was ok, it gained points for the view which doesn't exist anymore. The food was fairly average for the price. For dining downtown our list is Andiamo, Triple George and Vic and Anthony's.

Basically what Elvis said, IMO. Although I've never been to Triple George. The service was very good and it was a good steak. The waiter was very generous with giving me samples of the wine by glass. I think Vic & Anthony's was better as a traditional steakhouse and Andiamo's was overall great.

Oscar's food was excellent - as was the service. It's probably one of the most expensive restaurants on Fremont Street. Our bill for 6 people was $450.

    There are better options

I ate at Oscar's with a group of four guys two years ago when there was a view. The steak was merely okay; they had no clue what a passion fruit martini was (weird since Oscar is a martini man); the bill was $240ish (one bottle of wine shared); the experience need not be repeated.

Vic and Anthony's is a far better choice as is Binion's Steakhouse. I have not eaten at The D.

I had a very memorable meal there with my wife and friends. Great service, food, and view. I think the view will still be good regardless of Slotzilla...the lights and vibe will remain.

How does it compare with the Triple George? I thought their food and service was excellent.

Thanks Elvis. I will stick with Triple George then. Why change a good thing.
