This was in the press release this afternoon..seems to have been too many liability issues with drunken tourists..

Hopefully it gets filled in and a 6 story parking ramp put in its place. We need more parking that is close to the strip.

To prevent drowning I heard they were going to covert it into an ice rink.

I heard they are going to fill it with Jello and put in a stage for Bill Cosby.

I heard they were going to convert it to an art installment made entirely of strollers.

Oh that was a good one. I don't even care much for the fountain show but I did feel some type of way to see it "leave".

Maybe, but since many new folks keep coming to Vegas it's still something special for all of them. Not everyone is a Vegas junkie that keeps returning even though they seen almost all that there is to see....

However, if the are going to yank it out how about skeet shooting over the lake...now that's something you can't do in any other city....LOL

I know some people have grown sick of them but no matter how many times i've seen the fountains I always make sure to stop again at least once. I know they cost Bellagio/MGM a fortune so i'm sure the space will be converted into something else at some point. Hopefully that point is years and years from now. I will shed a small tear if this ever does turn out to be true.
