Turned down the bellagio salone suite and had the equivalant wynn suite as bellagio's. Now have the corner suite at aria or the one bedroom terrace suite at cosmo.

Now, im 36 and want a quiter and relaxing pool for my wife and I which cosmo doent offer. Regardless, which would you prefer?

Also, would not rather a party atomosphere which I saw during superbowl weekend at cosmo. It was a mad house at cosmo on that weekend.

I guess I actually answered my own question besides the room.

If it's down to the room...then it's down to the terrace, and how important it is to you. Because the rooms aren't even close - the Aria corner suite is leaps and bounds beyond that Cosmo room in every category. But it doesn't have a terrace. And that terrace - if you get the right view and the weather is nice - is worth the price of admission on its own.

So, I guess I'm saying: if you can deal with the negatives of Cosmo (of which there are many) and you can get a fountain view and the weather's going to be nice, go with Cosmo. Otherwise, do Aria.

Great info because i have heard the total opposite about the rooms. I have heard the cosmo one bedroom terrace is better (all fountain front) than the aria's corner suites.

Thats why this board's info is great!

Don't get me wrong. I'd take the Cosmo room if I knew I was getting a nice fountain view and the weather was going to be nice - I wouldn't hesitate for a minute. But the Aria corner suite is about 50% bigger than the Cosmo 1 BR and the furnishings are of a higher quality, IMO. Plus the terrace suite I stayed in a few weeks ago had some serious wear.

    Aria corner suite pros
    Extra 0.5 bath
True separation from the bedroom and living room
    Better materials inside

    One bed room terrace pros
    Balcony
One large room so it looks larger there maybe sliding doors to close off the bedroom section
    Larger soaking tub

    Weird stuff
Corner rooms are varied in size, some living rooms are more awkward than others

The layout of the tv in the "living room" part of the Cosmo terrace is funny. It's on an angle wall mount and the couch isn't dead on. But that couch has a sleeper pullout.

Side note there is a one bedroom suite at Cosmo that has 2 full baths and a washing machine. Not sure what it's called. But it's not any more special

Overall. I'd pick the luckier casino. Rooms about even

I really enjoy the rooms at Cosmo....the terrace gives Cosmo the edge. Even during colder months when the sun is out, the terraces are sheltered from wind and it is pleasant to sit out. I enjoy the property as a whole...enjoy the restaurants, casino is fun, specialty drinks comped in the casino and excellent cocktail service!

Previous poster mentioned the rooms with two full baths and washer and dryer; those are the wrap around terrace suites, my favourite!

Just got back from the Aria and we stayed in a corner suite. Pretty nice. Makes you feel like you're floating over the strip. We were very happy. I have not stayed at the Cosmo but I don't think you would be unhappy with the Aria . [IMG]

The room at Aria is a suite while you are comparing it to a regular Cosmo room. As others have said it comes down to how much you like the balcony and the view, for me it gives Cosmo the edge. But if you are comparing just the room, the aria corner suite is nicer and bigger even though i think both have a weird layout and I'm not really found of either. Remember that Cosmo have two basic room types with a balcony, they are called terrace studio and 1 bedroom and i prefer the studio because of the layout but getting a good view is what matters.

If you are looking at a suite at Cosmo their Terrace Suite blows Aria corner suite out of the way and its a serious upgrade. Maybe this is the room you meant since its the only room at Cosmo that all have a guaranteed fountain view, also all located in the west tower.

Its called a Terrace Suite but i have to strongly disagree that its not any more special. I even prefer that room over the wraparound, also that suite don't have those weird layouts and problems with the TV as you described that some of the regular rooms have, neither in the bedroom or living room. It also comes with a bigger balcony.

The One Bedroom at Cosmo would narrowly edge out the Corner Suite at Aria because of the balcony, BUT:

    • You've said you'd prefer to avoid Cosmo; I agree that Cosmo is different early week than on weekends, but that is not as true during pool season.
    • The Cosmo One Bedroom layout is faulty, but so is the layout of the Aria Corner Suite that has the TV mounted on a vertical support beam. Try to get a Corner Suite City View.
    • A "Terrace Suite" at Cosmo would trump any Corner Suite at Aria. The size and layout are similar, but the Terrace Suite has the balcony that runs outside both the living room and bedroom, and they all face the fountains.

Also regarding a quiet pool, Cosmo have the Bamboo pool which is very quiet. The regular pool area (blvd pool) is a lot busier especially on weekends but pretty crowded on weekdays as well.

Yes, it is the 1 bedroom terrace suite that i am asking about. I think we will do aria this time. We are going memorial weekend and I think Cosmo will be too packed.
