So everyone says that MGM takes better care of table players than CET.
Does anyone have any substance to this claim ?
On my upcoming trip I'm thinking about giving MGM some table action...

    Thanks everyone !!

Hard numbers? No, but before Total Rewards most casinos geared their programs towards tables and took slot players for granted. If you read up on Total Rewards, you'll see that they targeted slot players for a variety of reasons. My understanding was that they were slower to comp table play because in part it's harder to track table bets as accurately as slot play and because they get a better hold from slots.

I play at both, my comps are better at Mlife. But it doesn't hurt to have play at both. Like in my situation this coming trip, two upfront comp rooms. Aria and PH.

It depends on how much you play and what you are looking for. MGM has much better BJ rules but you won't get much if anything unless you are averaging $50/hand for 4 hours per day.

CET has poor BJ rules but they will give you free rooms if you average $15-$20 per hand for 5 hours per day.

Generally speaking, at the higher levels, the MGM rules are a little better than the CET rules. The CET rules are usually hit soft seventeen on the double deck tables and MGM is stand

Also, many CET DD games do not allow DAS, even at higher levels. DD S17 + DAS is a significant advantage over a DD game w/ H17 & no DAS.

This covers one aspect of why MILFe is better than CET for table games players. The other aspect is the MILFe comp program for table players is more generous than CET.

CET is great for low/mid level slot players if they are looking for flexible comps at CET's lower tier casinos. MGM won't give you much for BJ until you hit black chip, but they still offer great games at the green chip levels ($25 or $50 depending on time/day of week.

MILFe also offers a few good VP options on the Strip at the $1 or $2 level (9/6 JOB), whereas you must play $5 at CET for the same game (with reduced CET comps). MILFe spokeswoman Didiayer Snyder trumps CET spokesman Gary Loveman.

I am not drdm01 but have experience with both companies.

I am Diamond with CET from my play in NOLA and AC.
Platinum with MLife from Vegas at primarily Aria, but a little MGM and Bellagio.

I play craps and blackjack with $350+ average rating for 4 hours a day.

The last time I was going to stay at Caesars and my host told me they were oversold with convention business and he was sending me to Paris.
I was not happy but gave it a shot.
They comped my room but very little F+B.The room was a slight upgrade but no suite and no fountain view.
So my play in AC and NOLA is about the same and I do not get and standard room comped in the Caesars today and only weeknights with no weekends at Paris.
PH wants to charge me $167/night for my upcoming trip at the end of April.

So my trip on 4 /28 will be to Aria. Frankly this is a more upscale hotel than any of the CET properties mentioned.

My host gave me a corner suite at RFB!
    There is simply no comparison!!!
It is a nicer hotel and the Blackjack rules are better there than at any at the CET properties.

So my info is anecdotal and may not apply to everyone but I check almost every trip and it is always the same.CET offers much less than any MGM properties.

I can only explain the difference from my personal experience in terms of room and food comps.

there are only 3 diifernce between cet and mlife bj and this it.

6 deck cet you can split aces 3 times mlif you can split 4 times only differnce

dd .cet you can spilt aces only 2 times and cant double after your spilt where at mlife you can.

so basicaly 6 deck is the excatly the same rules at cet as mlife except for differnce ,if you poke around, all the properties have shitty table 6/5 ,csm .

cet wants alot less play for free rooms and you can book up to 5 nites free with out a host and you can book as many rooms comped as you want a year in adnvance as long as the calander gives them to you.

mlife gives you more food but cet give you more free rooms.

there are lower end tables like 25$ and 50$ 6 deck a cet with great bj rules just have to poke around.

i know the differnce i want to point out that drdm01 there not as poor as he says and at 50$ a hand for 4 hours a day your not being booked in belagio or aria but cet you can actualy get cesars.

I play craps and avg somewhere between $110-$150/bet and I can always get free rooms in Vegas at CET and I have a hard time getting free rooms at Mlife properties.

I play craps (also video blackjack, but only to get a "free" drink at $20 a clip

I play at CET, MLife, and TI

    CET is great to me
MLife send a shitty offer for NYNY every now and again
    tI gives me nothing

(I also play at Cosmo, but only average around $100 per bet on craps so I'm not on their radar)

If you play mostly tables, check out Monte Carlo. Monte Carlo seems to comp better than any other MGM properties for some reason. I'm considered a top tier player at Monte Carlo but my same play at Aria probably would not be considered as high. Monte Carlo just seems to treat the mid to lower rollers better.

Hi Blackjacknut, I'm thinking of giving MC some play on my next trip.

Can I ask approximately what your average BJ bet is to get offers from MC and what offers you receive from them?

Also any idea what their minimum BJ limits are in their high limit room during the week & weekend?

    Thanks

Sorry, for the late reply. I don't get on here much. According to CBJN (Current Blackjack News - a subscription service), the best MGM property rules have a house percentage of .19% and .26%. I have always been able to find the .26% games for $25 at MGM, Bellagio, and Aria. The .19% games I only found at $50 tables last time.

At CET the best percentage games are .53% house advantage unless you play high limit. Caesars has a good .26% game in the high limit starting at $100. At CET, it is becoming harder to find games under $25 minimum that aren't 6:5.

Every rule deviation changes the percentage advantage. The wizardofodds.com does a good job of listing the percentage changes on this link http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/. For example, CET only has dealer hit soft 17 rules giving the house an extra .22% advantage (unless playing high limit).

At $25 and above, MGM has much better rules. But CET gives much more in the form of free rooms to the $25 and under bettor.

    I hope this helps.

wrong as i just played at harrahs 25$ 6 deck stops at soft 17 same excat rules as mgm except you can only split aces 3 times instead of 4 , thats the only differnce . you do not have to go to ceasars or the hl with cet to get good table 6 deck rules. you just have to poke around,in fact i find ceasars to have the wurst rules for cet rio much better.

i think instead of quoting wizard of oz you should go out and actualy hit all the casinos and see for your self the differnce.

unfortunatly im a degerate gambler and play bj at all places so i can speak from first hand ,not from some online wizard as properties change all the time there rules

I think the prior poster is citing CBJN, not the wiz. Looks like he is only citing the wiz for the math, not the game conditions.

I have always heard that CBJN is pretty reliable for game conditions and rules. Is that no longer the case?
