Looking through the Vegas websites and so on at the moment it seems like the Strip is one long line of construction.

I don't mind per se, but it definitely takes the wow factor away for me. Last year we were at MGM Grand when they were building the new nightclub and it made entering/exiting fro the Strip kind of meh.

So as I understand it there's construction at

    NYNY
    Diablos/Monte Carlo
    Ballys
    TI
    Casino Royale

I'm going to be selfish and hope these are done in the next two months ! :)

Anyone got more info? Feel the same? Maybe don't care? Are there more? (not counted SLS!)

It seems to me as if there is always construction going on, whether it's something completely new or a remodel. Things slowed down quite a bit 2008-2012 or so but I can't remember the last time the strip was construction free.

Some see an ugly construction site and other see progress.

vegas is an odd place in that it can construct something faster or slower than other other city in the world.

Some projects can be done in weeks, others take years and still others are just abandonded.

New multistory building on the north end. They demo'd the Dennys and are building a Walgreens on bottom floor and Dennys on second floor.

It's good to see construction on the strip or DT. That means things are getting better.

The St. Regis tower at Venetian is still covered too, right?

I think it's amazing how the town was on the brink of the abyss with devastating debt yet progress wasn't stopped, only on pause. I remember in '08 you couldn't throw a dead hooker without hitting a crane. Seems like those times are back. Just with pedestrian construction walkways instead of cranes.
