APRIL FOOLS: Who else will be going to Vegas this April?

I will be in Vegas from the 9th until the 29th of April. My longest trip ever and part of it will be solo. It's a birthday gift to myself and I plan to celebrate my birthday the entire stay. A great excuse to party!

I'm staying at the Flamingo and I love cruising the Strip, exploring the casinos and visit the Downtown area some times. Further I like to enjoy nice food and drinks, comedy shows and live music and entertainment.

I would love to meet other (solo-) travelers for drinks, dinner, gambling or a show. And maybe we can share a (2-for-1) coupon or MyVegas reward? Or organise a VMB meet-up?

Who else will be going to Vegas this April? Who are you traveling with and what are your plans?

I will be there some time in April - seeing you have the luxury of a whole month thumbsup, our dates will certainly coincide.

I am likely to be mid April to later in the month I think, but I am still a few weeks away from confirming.

My wife, our daughter and myself will be checking into Red Rock for one night on March 29th, we'll then be moving to Flamingo for 3 nights and heading out of town April 2nd.

 

Would be great to meet up with you! Want to hear all the stories lol.

 

Pity we will miss each other, but I'm sure there are other VMB-ers who will be in town at that time.

April 10-18th staying at MB, Excal & trop. Will have the husband along but am hoping there will be a meet up or 2 for socialization while we are there.

I think I am 80% likely to be solo this time which typically means I have a list of possible things to do (ie a few bars I want to try, a trip downtown, maybe a restaurant I fancy), but I tend to just let the days work out depending on how gambling, drinking etc works out.

Having a meet up scheduled would be good to guarantee I actually get out of the casino at least once:evillaugh

With your trip being for a month nworthyare you thinking you need to have more or less things planned than normal ??

Arriving 27 April - 2 May, solo trip, much needed after playing tour guide in August for a girls trip where they did not gamble 1 cent
If there is a meet in my dates I will definitely attend, my only must do this trip is the Neon Museum.

 

I will probably go April 5th thru 10th for the NAB convention. If I get a job I'm interviewing for then they will send me. If I continue to be freelance and don't have any gigs then I will go on my on.

After 5 weeks in Sochi and another 4 to go, I am jonesing for some Vegas in my life!

On April 17th -> Thirsty 3rd Thursday Pub Crawl!

On April 17th I'm planning to join the Thirsty 3rd Thursday Pub Crawl, starting off at Hennessey's Downtown. Last year I did this on my last evening/night in Vegas and we had a blast! So this year it's a must-do. It is only on every 3rd Thursday of the month (which is the 17th in April) and a very good deal for what you get.

One of my good buddies will have arrived in Vegas by that time as well and will also join. It's one of the things I look most forward to this year, as I know what I can expect and also what you make of it. I liked the fact that it was a very mixed crowd, more ladies than men and of various ages (i.e. a group of single girls in their twenties and lots of couples in their thirties/forties and older).

It will be the last evening of your trip, maybe you and your husband would like to join?!

 

Last year I went for 12 nights and had something planned for almost every day. I did enjoy it a lot, I am a late sleeper (4-6am), so my days start around 2pm and most things I had planned for late afternoon. That way I had the whole evening and night to do what ever came up spontaneously.

Although it was the best holiday I have ever had, this year I want to go more with the flow, not plan things for every day. Maybe every other day lol.

April 27 and 28 are my last two nights in Vegas. Will sure try to set something up, so I can finish with a blast!

So it is more divey bars (not clubs, we are not club people anyways) but you get one free drink at each spot and it is only $20?

I was planning on toby keith i love this bar that night but something like that (pub crawl) as a meet up would be cool. I wouldn't want to do it on our own but i would not mind doing it with a few others. i will look at the link and check it out. thanks!

 

Exactly, no clubs. I'm not a club person either. Was searching for a pub crawl, instead of a club crawl and this one I found good reviews about. I thought, with only $20 for 6 drinks, it can't be a loss anyway. And it happened to be one of the best nights I had that trip.

You get one drink coupon for each bar they get you too. And you could get almost every type of drink you wanted (except probably expensive brands and such), so I was happily pleased! I got a vodka mix at every bar we went to and tipped about $1-$2 for each drink.

I also shared one of the (two) 1/2 off food deals with a friend at one of the pubs. We had 4 mini burgers with fries and it was perfect for two. The food came in really handy as well, in order not to get too drunk lol and we paid only something like $7 for it.

We met a lot of nice people and several of them said they had done it many times already and always had a blast. I would also recomment it to everybody, especially because of the diversity of people that joined. I was a bit worried ahead of time, that there would only be a bunch of drunk guys, but that was not at all the case. Mostly girls and couples.
