I'm sure many of you have a most memorable moment in Vegas which I would love to hear.
Mine was our annual March Maddness trip the March after 9/11. I and 2 buddies were flying from Rockford Ill on Trans Meridian which I had never heard of but my buddy J told me that he had taken the trip a few times and it was well worth the $99 each way non stop price. A little back ground on J is needed as he is the type of individual that if you say or do something wrong he is going to let you know it. J had been in a bad automobile accident about a year earlier and was heavily dosed in vicodin by the time we got to the airport. J, I and T got on the plane and I have been on regional jets with more leg room as my knees were pushed back into my chest due to the lack of leg room. J and I were sitting next to each other and I'm like WTF I thought you said this airline was fine ? J said something about this not being the normal plane that he had flown on previously. Before takeoff a stewardess is talking to a passenger near us and says something about a strong head wind and we will need to stop to refuel. I elbow J and say WTF I thought you said this was non stop ? J says she doesn't know what she is talking about. We finally take off and a couple hours into the 3:30 flight they come over the intercom and sure as shit we are landing in a place I can only identify as Sage Brush Kansas as there is a runway with a few hangers and no town in site. I once again elbow J and say WTF ? We land and come to a stop and the pilot comes out of the cockpit lowers the aircraft stairs and walks around to our side of the aircraft. He is standing outside our window talking to the 1 guy driving the fuel truck and hands him a credit card to which the fuel truck driver can be seen shaking his head no! I repeat my new phrase for this trip WTF J ! After 30 minutes and numerous phone calls by the pilot and fuel guy we finally are getting fuel put into the plane. Afer getting fueled I see the fuel guy hand the pilot two brown paper bags with what I can only conclude are bottles of booze. We then go to take off and I look up the aisle towards the cockpit and see the stewardess using her leg to help keep the swinging cockpit door shut ( After 911 and they don't have a secure cockpit). I elbow J one last time and say you have got to be Fing kidding me. We finally arrive in Vegas and I get off the plane standing in the lobby when T gets off and says where is J ? I say he was right behind me and should have gotten off before you ? At that moment T and I look out the window and see our buddy J in the cockpit with the pilots waving his finger and siliva foaming from his mouth. I think it is safe to say his Vicodin had worn off.
Within the next year Trans Meridian went belly up and all passengers and crew were stranded and left on their own to find a way home.

The first time I watched the sun rise. I was on the bridge between PH and Cosmo. I'll never forget that moment.

The first time I saw the Strip from the plane window moments before landing.

The first time I saw the Fremont Canopy light up for the overhead show.

The first time I won 700 bucks on a quarter Red White and Blue machine.

The first time I saw the Cocktail Waitresses at Orleans.

The first time I saw 5 huge people pile their plates mile high with crab legs at a buffet, drop them off at their table, and go back and get more plates of crab legs.

The first time I heard "would you like another drink?", turned and looked into the eyes of the most beautiful Cocktail Waitress with the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.

The first time I had the courage to walk up to the craps table to play for the first time.

The first time I rolled dice for close to an hour.

I'm certain that the more I visit Vegas, the more moments I will never forget will come my way. Vegas will never grow old.....:beer::beer:

Great memories especially the two sisters ! Your Silva incident reminded me many years ago watching a Motorcycle stuntman (Can't remember his name) jumping the fountains at Ceasers and crashing into the concrete wall. I'm think he lived but he was really messed up.

It’s not just one moment but the whole experience – when I was 15 going with my mom and her friend. Her friend was housing a German exchange student for that year so I had a buddy to experience it with. We saw “Starlight Express”, “Guys and Dolls” and an impersonators show – which may have been “Legends in Concert”, I’m not sure. The MGM still had the theme park and Wizard of Oz theme – and the Luxor still had the boat ride. The whole thing was amazing to me as a teenager. Guess it started it all!

The 1st time I walked into a Vegas Strip Club

My 1st trip to Vegas staying at the Sahara losing all my money I had plus some savings, then winning it all back plus $6500 on a Slot Machine jackpot, literally the last 5mins of our trip and off a $100 I hid in my wallet but forgot about till I went and grabbed the valet ticket before we set off for home. No wonder I keep going back. I will never forget waiting for my hand pay and running directly to my friends car in valet for the drive back to SD. made the drive home in traffic so much easier.

Annual Random poker trips with my father before he passed away.

    My honeymoon

When I was 15, my parents handed me $100 and dropped me off at Circus Circus while they went to go gamble.

Met a 17 year old girl there who looked kind of lost and lonely. Turns out she was in the same situation so we decided to keep each other company.

Had a blast. Ate pizza, popcorn, played games, won prizes.

We went to a nearby parking lot and I received my first.... "BlackJack" :evillaugh

    I have a couple..

Watching the Bellagio fountains for the first time go off to the song that's in stepbrothers at the end (will Ferrell sings it at the Catalina Wine Mixer) and crying a little.

At the Bellagio fountains again being hammered and finally getting to the very front of the crowd by the water, as the fountains began going off a group of Asian tourists crowded around me and started singing My Yart will go on (they could have very well been saying heart I was just completely inebriated.

Playing Shake your Booty slot machine (can't find it anywhere else in the country)

Getting in a fight with my partner in the McDonald's parking lot by Slots of Fun then going to Slots of Fun and winning 40 dollars off the blackjack machine.

One of my favorite Vegas memories is the last trip I was able to take with my mother before she passed from Gliosarcoma.

I was driving east towards the strip and when we got to Las Vegas Boulevard she looks up and to the south and points and goes, "Isn't that the Eiffel Tower?"

and I respond, "Yes it is."

to which she replies, "Why isn't it leaning?"

HAH. Thats funny as hell. It also reminds me of a couple that I used to travel alot to vegas with a few years back. My buddy, Myself and his now ex-wife were sitting around watching a vegas movie or tv show, maybe the hangover, I forget. Anyways, they do a shot of the eiffel at Paris hotel/casino in the movie. My buddie's wife pipes up and says, why did they show that? They dont have an eiffel tower in vegas. Keep in mind, she had been to vegas probably 8 times at this point, and we had stayed center strip many of those times. So, we're like WTF you talking about. Anyways, shes adamant that there isnt one, swears up and down. We ended up googling it and proving her wrong of course. But the best part was to come later in the night. . . .when my buddy happened to be looking through the photo album in his wifes phone, guess what he found???? About 5 pictures she had taken of the eiffel tower in vegas on their last trip.
