Why don't downtown Boyd do Point Multipliers?

I don't think I've EVER seen it advertised that MSS/Cal/Fremont are having a Point Multiplier day (like Suncoast/Orleans/ST/GC)
It just strikes me as odd...
Anyone else ever seen them offer a point multiplier?

I always assumed the primary target for the multipliers was locals. They have them to get the locals in their casino. The downtown properties don't rely on locals action like the Gold Coast and Sam's Town, etc., do.

Not in the 14+ years we have been staying at MSS.
There are offers exclusively for locals, such as jackets after accumulating X # of points in a day, but I never have seen a multiplier day even when we lived there.

Throughout the year they do have various drawings for trips and cash that you enter by accumulating points on your card.

One year I did win a $1,199 drawing. Another year I won the $20,000, first place drawing, but you had to be there to win and we were on the plane home.:cry::cry: I got the consolation prize of a trip for two to Hawaii on Boyd vacations.

They don't have the drawing thing down to a science like Suncoast etc do, where you can just look at a monitor in the casino to see if your name was called. At MSS, it usually relies on the crappy PA system when they draw a name.

I'm looking at Orleans, Gold Coast, & Suncoast on the website, and NONE of them have any such discounts or even the Young at Heart program shown today. I hope I am wrong in my suspicion that these are now history.

I couldn't find the Young at Heart on any of the sites either but I did find this that shows it being active at the casino's you mentioned as well as Sam's Town.

Unfortunately it will probably disappear by the time we are old enough to use it.

Yes, they announced this change of day & promos for the "Young at Heart" (seniors) back around September/October (??) of last year.

This topic came up before here. At the Cal/MSS they used to regularly have multiple point offers with some of the their comp room offers. I would have this every month back then, usually 4x points. This stopped after they merged cards and became BConnected. I still get multiple point offers sent to me as part of comp special weekend offers, but only about twice a year.
