I took advantage of the MRB online 2 free nights at The Cosmopolitan. This deal is now over and only offered limited free nights. The only thing I had to pay was $25 a night plus tax for the resort fee which came to $56 total for two nights. Not a bad deal at all.

We were supposed to stay in a Terrace Studio King but the lady at the desk put us in a Terrace One Bedroom. Many on here have said they like the Terrace Studio better, but I did get a room with a great view. Here are some pics:

Amazing! For $56 I think you got the steal of the century.

It's great you got such a great room at a great price; but to keep focused on resort fees, it's not the price that's the issue with many of us - it's the deceptive way of increasing room rates. I'd much rather have higher room prices with no fee rather than have them give the room away and charge a hefty "resort" fee.

How so? It seems that the total expense should be the same, just not as deceptive.

Just wondering how did you get this free room? was it from comps?

Cool. Looks like that room was definitely worth paying the resort fees.

Read the thread title. In this case, it's less money.

Otherwise, I agree fees are bull. The only reason it's allowed is because it helps LV's bottom line with taxes and economic health.

If there was a huge backlash, it would be built into the hotel's prices instead of being a "fee".

Not from comps. If you subscribe to Anthony Curtis Member Rewards Book (MRB) they sometimes have special deals that aren't in the book. The 2 free nights at The Cosmopolitan were only a few dates in December and January.

Sweet!! I wanna stay so bad, but it's out of my budget, I knew I should of snagged that deal.

Eh resort fees are just annoying because I have to do math . Also even as an experienced Vegas travel, I fall for the "deals" every. single. time. My room coming up next week at MGM, woohoo $56 a night, so I book it, then I'm e-mailing my friend his cost, and it's like we paid for 4 nights instead of 2 after taxes and fees lol. Even with the fees. Vegas is still cheap!

Never. I get comped rooms @ Cosmo all the time and they always waive the trash resort fee & I would never pay it, even if it comes with free coffee/newspaper/wifi. That's not worth $25/night for me. (Btw I play $200-300/hand BJ)
