I would assume that since practically the whole it opened back up is due to public outcry, that it is much the same as it used to be, but have not been there. I am sure someone else can report that has been there, though.

Are the table minimums like they were before? Low. I only liked it for $5 let it ride. I hit way too many non paying hands on that game and chew through my buy in with quickness.

I love that O'Shea's is, for the most part, back, and will stop in when i return in the Spring. However, i'm really disappointed that the new O'Shea's doesn't have at least a few banks of Slots like the old O'Shea's. I used to always use their food court, watch beer pong, and spend some time on the Slots.
Given the fact i don't drink, i can no longer eat there, and can't gamble.......my stay will unfortunately be a short one.

Saw it this week. It's just a room off the Quad now with a few table games and a small bar. No slots. They had a guy in there playing guitar & singing. They were advertising $5 BJ. They're going for a more swanky (boring) vibe. Not the party pub atmosphere so much.

Good to hear they're still running a $5 craps table. Looks like a Guiness beer tap in one of the photos from the news link.

I would think so...I think all strip properties have gone 3x-4x-5x now with the exception of Casino Royale. But I seem to recall that Royal dumped the 100x and is now 20x but they took out all but one table.

And if they did indeed remove all but one table that baffles and saddens me. I loved playing dice there.

Yep, walked through it several times last week. Very disappointing.

The outside bar going in looks to be fun when the warm weather hits is the only positive

When we were there right after the new year, I didn't see any Let it Ride. There is live entertainment, it was very busy at night, but just not the same. :(

Awww. I knew that was probably going to be the case, but it's still sad to hear. I'll still go check it out next month to see for myself.

happened to be in vegas (and staying at the quad) the day new osheas opened. old osheas used to be one of my favorite strip party spots along with bills. new osheas is a bit of an afterthought....just a room tacked onto the quad, accessible through the casino or the linq area. like its been said, no slots just tables. when i was there they had $5 tables, but may have gone up. still have live bands which was one of my fave parts about osheas, but long gone are the days of dollar miller lights and party pit beer pong. they have 2 ping tables and i dont see them staying long. drinks are also typical outrageous casino prices, with the exception of a throwback thursday deal where they have cheap beer. also of note: opening night, lvmpd was all up in there. i must have seen 30 different officers walk through. not sure if they were just checking the place out or what, but it was weird to see cops in a casino for no real reason.

    tl;dr
    not the same o'shiggles

Spent a hour in there Friday night, it's not as boring/bad as some posts suggests. The $5 craps that's impossible to squeeze into, several beer pong games going with balls flying everywhere and no one complained. There are two bars, a large one and a small one with plenty of bartenders.

Definitely not the vibe (or prices) of the old place but still very informal and potentially fun.

Not good O'Sheas, I had no clue they werent putting slots in the the place. I feel like that is going to take alot of their foot traffic away, and with no food court any longer why even go in, unless the $5 tables are a huge draw. I can remember many a nights when I couldnt find much open at 2am and I you always knew the Burger King was open in O'sheas. I knew in the back of my mind it would never be like it was, but this is kind of ridiculous. I wont be going out of my way to stop in there next trip, a shame!

From the pics and articles I have read, I am disappointed. No slots no food court....The love of the place ( for me ) was the slots, food court and overall dive feel. Since it doesn't seem to have any of this anymore I don't expect to spend any time there.

Everybody should have realized that the "dive feel" would be the first thing they scrapped. The amount of money they are dumping into Linq pretty much kills anything even close to old-school dive. To everything there is a season, and O'Shea's has seen its time passed.
