I have never stayed there but have shown some play just dropping in (50-200 Bj and not much time) I usually avg 300-500 a hand bj/baccarat. My wife and I are going for our 11 year anniversary and would like to stay there even though I get all mgm properties comped.

    My questions are:

    1) if wynn/encore matches expedias prices? We are going May 23-27 and it is about a $500 diff in price with expedia being cheaper with a full cancellation policy but know a host can't comp the room based on my play if I booked thru expedia.

    2) if wynn honors expedias prices and I book directly thru wynn, can a host still comp the room etc based on my play?

    3) is the resort deluxe king room or king panoramic room better? On wynns site, the panoramic is cheaper and figured it is the better room.

    4) is encore or wynn better for the price? Both are about the same price wise. If they are the same price, which would you choose?

My wife's choices are aria or wynn/encore (she has never stayed at either resort). I already know I can get aria comped. Honestly I've always wanted to stay at wynncore. How are wynncores hosts at comping rooms if you reserved/paid for them already and what kind of table play do they require?

I'm actually thinking about just booking wynn for our anniv for about $1000 and not having to worry about playing or getting play in. That way we can do what we want to do and I won't feel pressured to play (usual bankroll is 10-15k) since it's paid for. I'm also going Super Bowl weekend and staying at aria. Thinking I should go to wynn and put in some real play to see if I get any host connection etc. But figuring 300-500 a hand is nothing there.

Sorry for the long post but any insight is appreciated!!

MY SUGGESTION IS COLD CALL A HOST AND HAVE THEM REVIEW YOUR PLAY AND SEE IF THEY CAN DO SIOMETHETHING IF THEY WONT THEN IT ASK TO SPEAK TO MGR IT CANT HURT TO ASK ABOUT EXPEDIA BUT USUALY THEY HAVE A BLOCK OF THERE OWN ROOMS THATS WHY.

YOU SHOULD QUALIFY ATLEAST A FOR CASINO RATE OF 109- 139$ A NITE FOR A REGULAR ROOM

Paper poster, I have cold called a host before and they said they can't help me and they will not review my play at other properties. A Vmb member referred me to a host but they said it was a slot host and I am a table player so I didn't contact the host. Another member referred me to an aria host and it has been great and I have actually referred friends who play at the same level as me to them. Only complaint I've had from them is that he is never on property.

I'm just wondering if my normal play can get the room comped off the back end since I would like to stay at wynn or encore for our anniv. Again, my wife said either property is fine with her.

If anyone has a table game host that you can refer, please pm me. It would be a great help.

I believe those are the regular rates, correct? Take a look at expedia for the same rates. It's about $500 less, that's why I was wondering if wynn would match the price and then I would talk to a host before checkout to get it comped since they can't do anything booked with third party sites.

Use Wynn Code: SPRING6 = $1,374 (Deluxe Panoramic View Room, Resort Fee and Tax).

    Expedia: $1255 + $100 Resort Fee = $1,355.

    Savings = $19

As far as the trip is concerned, no pressure = better trip. Ask for comps on the back end, if what you want is gambling during the trip. If you end up not gambling much, you did what you wanted and enjoyed the trip. Your wife will enjoy it more as well.

They'll consider play at $250/hand for 4 hours/day, which may be more time than you would like to play during an anniversary trip.

I personally like the remodeled Wynn rooms better than Encore. Like the Wynn casino better as well.

Thanks viva, I received the same offer but it is only good until March for me. I believe I will either stay at aria comped, just stay/pay for wynn (no pressure gambling) and if I do play my usual they will comp, or play for awhile at wynn during Super Bowl weekend while staying at aria and hope for the best.

But the smart thing is probably pay for wynn and see if they comp at the end of the trip since I don't feel obligated to play. Either way, I believe it's a great price during mem weekend and it will be cheaper in the long run (not losing 10-15k for the trip).

Yes I have played there but small to them 50-200 a hand tops and not a long time since I wasn't staying there. And the hosts won't check on my play at mgm properties.

Yes, I have a host at bellagio but my wife doesn't wanna stay there. Only aria or wynn. My choice is wynn.

dont worry about them checking mgm .as long as you have history with the wynn have then check that i havent played in years there and still get discounted offers.

ask them to look at your wynn play and see if the can give you a casino rate or something it cant hurt.if the first person says no , call at a differt time of day a get new shift you would be surpriised what can happen.

Ok i will. I just basically said what the host told me about 2 years ago. I do play more but now re-thinking my position which is pay $1k for 4 nites at wynn and not worry about playing/playing and hope to get it comped or just stay at aria comped and have to show action/play.

Probably will be more relaxing to just fork over the 1k or so and enjoy ourselves instead of worrying about gambling to make the host happy or getting the room comped which could cost me even more.

Btw, wynn does not match expedia rates. Just called and asked them.

Call wynn, ask for marketing and ask if you have any offers. There might be something there.

Alternatively, take only $1k to wynn in February and play for at least 4 hours on slots. They will treat you like a demi-god in time for your May trip. If not, you will get a much lower offer. And if not that, no loss.

My brother and his friends use to play at the Wynn. Their avg bet was $500-1k on BJ. They all stopped playing at Wynn and moved to Aria due the stinginess in comps.

I stopped playing at Wynn. I lost ~2k on slots and only receive offers for discount rooms, not even comped.

I would recommend getting a 1-BR penthouse skysuite at Aria. If you have a record at Mlife, they will be more willing to comp you.

If you want to go somewhere special, try the skylofts at MGM.

I'm not exactly sure. I was really drunk. We seem to go and destroy the Wynn when we are drunk.

I would say maybe 3-5 hours. This is a total guess tho.
