Looking at flights coming home for my march trip and cost is just shooting up. Southwest has a flight for 10,620 points which equates to $199. I'm 3500 points shy of having enough points and I was curious if anyone here would be willing to sell or donate said number which would allow me to get this flight before the sale is up. I can buy the points from southwest for $100 and will use that option but thought I'd ask here incase anyone has some extra and could help. http://www.southwest.com/rapidrewards/buy-points

I didn't realize you could give your points away. I wish I could help you out.

I did not either until I looked at their site about buying them. Thanks for the thought

I think there are fees associated with "gifting" points/miles.

I know there are with USair

    Just FYI

I admit I did not look at the details and do not know either way. I'd never ask anyone to give a gift of points is there is a charge

It may still be a viable option if you cover the fee...I think it is like ~$25 on USair...so if you can find someone that will gift you points that you "buy" from them...as long as you pay them less than $125 (via paypal or whatever) then you are still "saving"

Want to thank smartone, I was able to get the points needed for my return flight to cost $5 on southwest.
