    Hello All,

I've been to Vegas several times and usually book close to last minute. However, with my other trips planned around the same time and month, I'm attempting to pay in full for most of my trips. All of my other destinations are coming in cheap however my vegas plan for May 16th - 19th or May 19th - 22nd is showing alot higher than what I paid for last minute last year.

Am I booking to soon or is their something going on during those dates.....

We tend to book far in advanced.
How do I know? Well, my wife starts the countdown right after booking and it usually starts in triple digits.
As long as they are taking reservations you really can't be booking too far in advanced. :peace:

Book your trip now directly with the hotel.
    Keep checking rates regularly.
If they drop, the hotel will give you the new price.

Check the online price and call the hotel and ask them if they offer any discounts such as AAA.

Several years ago I called Bellagio several times as prices dropped and they lowered the price every time.

Book early, and change as needed.

Not sure why you would pay the hotel in full in advance though.

It's not going to get any cheaper that week, especially at the mid to high end resorts. RECon is going on during that time period, and it brings 35-40k affluent people to town.

There will be celebrities in town on May 18th for the Billboards.

May rates tend to be fair as you get closer to the time in my experience but I still book well in advance in order to lock down some rates that are difficult to get at anytime.

I'm going for 6 days/5 nights in early May and booked my room in November (great Cyber Monday sale). Booked my flights last week. I always book early and figure I can rebook at a lower rate if I find one. I agree, why pay in full if you don't have to? The only time I do that is when required by a package (like Southwest Vacations).

I am looking at booking now for the end of May/beginning of June for 8 nights. I get most of the room comped at Harrahs and flights are actually looking fairly decent from Virginia on Southwest $366 round trip at least when I looked the other day. If they flights are still down I will probably book today.

We booked last week for end of May, beginning of June. Hotel is partially comped so no issue with that and Delta from Boston was $399 which is pretty good. Funny that it went from $408 to $399 overnight.

I also booked my May 13th -17th trip a couple of weeks ago. I finally got a deal on airfair on froniter for 291.00. My casino hostess called me yesterday and is comping two nights and could be more.

So I say yes book early. You can alwasy change and it if gets more expensive you already have a win on the books. Good luck.

Never too early to book if you get good hotel and airfare rates. I prefer to book my room directly with the hotel; seems to be less hassles that way. :peace:

Already booked hotel, flight, and 2 rental cars for May.

Never too early. I already got a SW credit for a drop in price.

Boyfriend and I will be in town in March and we booked WAYYYYY in advance. Like last summer, middle of June, 9 months ahead kind of advanced! We had to wait a few months to buy airfare considering it wasn't available yet but after watching prices through multiple airlines, we got the best price. Same with the hotel. 3 nights at Flamingo (my personal favorite) for $180!

So planning in advance is never a bad thing! You can always change plans if need be but it's nice having everything set in stone.

Or should I say, "temporarily set in stone"?

    Whatever, you get my point.
