Does anyone have a recommendation for the best Suite on the strip? I am not talking High Roller expensive, but something in the range of 1,000 per night? It is a special occasion and we would like to splurge.

In that price range, I would go for a Skyline Terrace suite at MGM. Personally, I really like the big outdoor patio

weekend night or weekday night. 1000 goes a lot further on weekday nights. Also, do you already have an mlife card. I ask because even the lowest level gets a slight discount.

Yea you can get something way more spectacular during the week or during the slower seasons.

Pretty sure the Skyline Terrace Suite is what I'd want too!!

I've seen it on Mlife usually around $700, sometimes it's a little cheaper.

Here's a MGM promocode for the suites, pretty much the only way to book the gigantic ones.

I'd also like to stay here. Mandalay Bay Sky View Suite

    The view would be outstanding!!

I stay in Skyview Suites when I stay at MB and I like it, but it doesn't compare to several other big suites in town. I would rank the MGM Terrace Suite, Bellagio Cypress and Penthouse suites, the Wynn tower suites, and Aria penthouse suites, all ahead of it. I would say the Skyview Suite is on par with the Cosmo wraparound terrace suite, both of which have a great view.

Cost does not ALWAYS mean better. Also, cost sometimes may include things that you could care less about. Some love a spa tub in the room. Others could care less. Some want a boardroom table, etc.

And, as said, day of week will make a BIG difference.

Also, one night can be a disappointment. You might not check in until4-6pm if the room is not ready. Then out by noon. Two days can be much cooler.

Tell us more about where you have stayed, where you might want to stay, when, likes, dislikes.

$1,000 suite at Harrahs will be way different than $1000 suite at Aria.

The Lanais @ Mirage are often available for under $1000/night and should be considered a good value if you are paying

Your tastes and considerations regarding the hotel and casino are also a factor.
I would agree that the Mirage Lanai, which is a true Villa, is a top notch choice. Likewise the Skylines, especially if city-strip views are a preferred experience as they are to many.
Do consider however that, upon leaving your suite you are in Mirage or MGM.
One can get a Salon at Encore (better strip view than Wynn) or a Cypress or Penthouse or perhaps even a Grandlakeview at Bellagio and have fountain view in addition to the strip. Weekends will limit your budget and availabilty though.
Many of the higher end rooms, like the Cypresses, are held for big players since there are only a few of them.
    Nice choices to have though.

True, I just like Mandalay, also room would probably be closer to $300 a night than $1000 right?

As often happens, the OP has not come back to give us a bit more information, so that we can help.

I hear ya. I like MB too. I just think the OP is wanting the best suite experience they can afford. Skyview is nice, but there is nicer they can get for the price limit

I can't offer much feedback except to say my personal choice of where I'm going to blow my express comps on is the MGM Terrace suites - they look AWESOME. Plus with my Platinum discount, I can get the 2 nights I'm looking at for $585 for each night.
