We are not fine diners, but want to try in our Vegas trip! Most of the big casinos have restaurants by famous chefs, I've been reading their reviews. Looking for something that provides a great experience - i.e. fancy surroundings, decor etc at lower price points.

As for food preferences, majority of the group is vegetarians, but we will try to accommodate at most places. Also we won't be always ordering a full meal for everyone, sometimes its just to sit in a nice place and order a snack. And want to stay on the Strip.

e.g. heard great things about sticky toffee pudding at Gordon Ramsey Steak in Paris, and its $13, which is a good value.

Try do go to one of the fine dining spots that are open for lunch then. Milos at Cosmo probably have the best lunch deal in town at 22 for a 3 course menu. I have no idea of why you are planning on going to a steakhouse when most of the people in your group are vegetarians. GR will also not be in the lower price point, its relative new and very busy so getting in and out for under a 100pp will be very hard even with the toffee pudding priced at 13.

What is the price point? Are you planning on getting alcohol too?

Le Cirque is considered to be one of the best meals you can get on the strip. And they have a vegetarian tasting menu. It's $115 per person, which is a lot, but you could not order drinks to save you some money. Here's the menu (and you can sort of expect 1 to 2 extra things that might come between courses that aren't listed):

The Gordon Ramsay Steak sticky toffee pudding really is amazing. But don't eat dinner there just because of that. Just drop by and ask to sit at the bar/lounge (no reservations needed). You can just order the sticky toffee pudding.

I am sure if you stopped by any of the good restaurants and asked about vegetarian offerings, they could work with you. I am less sure about some of the group just having a snack. Those seats are costly because the operation is costly and I would think they would not be thrilled to served several people in a group just a snack while they sit and absorb the atmosphere.

I second this. While every place I have been to won't mind if you take a long time on your meal (depending on the meal and cocktails, dinner can take my girlfriend and I anywhere from one to up to two and a half hours), most of the more upscale places aren't exactly a snack kind of place. In fact, at Le Cirque, our server was hesitant to allow me to order the tasting menu while my girlfriend ordered from the a la carte menu due to many complaints and bad reviews they had received regarding "slow service" due to the disproportionate number of courses between the two meals.

That said, you may wish to do bar seating or happy hours at one of the more casual (but still upscale and delicious) venues.

Check out Julian Serrano at Aria! One of my favorite places.

They have a large vegetarian/vegan menu, we took some vegans there a few months ago and they LOVED it. Very nice place. It's mostly small plates so you can order as much or as little as you want to keep the price manageable. They also have several prix fix options.

Border Grill at Mandalay Bay is also a good option, the decor isn't fancy, but the food is fantastic! If the weather is good you can eat out on the patio overlooking the beach.

Also try making breakfast or brunch a nice meal, that's always cheaper. Bouchon at Venetian is AMAZING, can't go wrong, perfect atmosphere. Also we had a great meal at Terrace Point Cafe at Wynn and Mon Ami Gabi at Paris. You can have a much fancier breakfast for far less than fancy dinner would cost you.

Agreed if you aren't having a full meal, sit at the bar, especially if it's a steakhouse.
