I am having a hard time picking a room for January. I can get just about any non-suite room at CET Properties comp, but I would like to try somewhere different. I have done PH, Paris, and Caesars, but I would like to try Flamingo or Harrahs. I can get a go room at flamingo, or a Petite Suite at Harrahs. Everyone talks about Go Rooms, but I believe they were remodeled last way back in 2006. Are they holding up well? I am very happy in a Paris Red Room or a PH resort room; will I like the Go room? I like the vibe of the casino, so that is not a concern.

I just stayed there earlier this month. I was comfortable in the GO room.
I hated the lighting...but other than that it was fine. I would stay there again. Here are a few pictures....

Why not get a Premium Jubilee room at Bally's?

I thought of that, but when I stay at Paris I never seem to like going to Bally's....the vibe isn't for me.....But, the video I saw of the room makes it a great option other than that.

I don't disagree in terms of room choices, but I am looking for something different. Also, as a low diamond I am treated soooooo much better at PH or Paris and my play at Caesars doesn't ever seem to get the property offers I get elsewhere. Pretty much the only offers from Caesars are the corporate multi-property offers.

Some may think Flamingo's location is better, it is easier to get out of rather than the long walkway out of Bally's/walking through Paris, and finally the pool is definitely more fun for those interested.

I have stayed at Caesars a few times and love the rooms but everything is such a long walk even to the casino from your room--We really enjoy staying at Harrah's (either in the petite suites or the regular suites) and just love the feel of the casino and the employees--just seems we always have fun there and everyone is just so nice and we feel so comfortable there.
But also do enjoy Bellagio and the Mirage. So guess it is just what you feel comfortable with and its fun to mix your stay with different type propertys.
When are you going in January? We will be there Jan 15 through the 22nd.
4 nts at Harrahs and 3 nights at the Mirage

Was in a go room 2 weeks ago. I think they are holding up well. I had no issues with the room. I also like that there is a regular fridge to store drinks.

I went about a year ago. They were ok, the whole floor, room, and hallways smelled like horrible BO though... but the room itself was clean. The year before that I stayed in one and it was great.. The finishings are really cool. Flamingo is one serious mixed bag. You will hear one person say it's great, and one say it's the worst place ever.

I don't think it'll be bad if you try it. Just go in with low expectations and an open mind. I mean it's not any worse than the basic rooms at PH and Paris, but the whole vibe of being there is totally different.

People are talking about the horrible smell in the hallways. I was there three weeks ago and as I was leaving I was told that the carpeting on the GO room floors was being replaced. This should solve the smell problems.

Loved my GO room in September. Room was spotless, no funky smells or anything.... My favorite was the jets in the shower that hit you right in the spot in your back that makes you go ahhhhhh. Love the location on the strip, and the easy walk from your room to the strip. Casino is ok, my favorite is NYNY, but I would definately stay there again. Great room, great location, great prices. What more could you ask for? ;)

I am going 1/24-30. I have the last three nights covered at MGM, but I am trying to decide on my first three nights. If I book PH (basic room with likely diamond upgrade) I can get $300 free play. If I book any other total rewards property I can use an offer for $200 in free play and $150 Southwest gift card. The gift card isn't that valuable to me since I usually use miles for free flights and Southwest doesn't fly out of Syracuse.

I really want to try somewhere different than PH or Paris, so I don't know what to do. If I get another offer for $300 free play that can be used at Flamingo I will most likely use it, and if I don't I may still try a Go Room.

I mean the PH offer is better... I'd probably still go with that. But whatever you want!!

Jelly I want a Southwest gift card haha. I hate the drive.

Sorry we won't be there at the same time--would have loved to meet you .
Just my opiniom but I am just not crazy about the Flamingo--I have stayed in the Go room and it is nice but the casino just doesn't make me as comfortable as Harrah's--I do like to go there and play a little but still like Harrahs better and the petite suite and executive suites at Harrahs are great.
If you send me a pm I would be glad to give you the name of my excutive account manager (this is what they have changed to in Vegas--even though there are hosts if you are a high player) and I would rather work with him as he is a great guy and always gets me what I want plus he is fun to talk to.

I'm a total sucker for those jetted showers too in the Go rooms. I have never had an issue in any GO room I have stayed in. Am booked there over NY for my daughter's 21st. Will probably try the new Jubilee rooms at Ballys in April for something different though.

I also love Paris rooms (either type) as I like the stand-alone showers. Harrahs I had a petite suite at & it was just an oversized room with a couch. Standard bath with a normal tub which I don't like.

I think those jets are actually supposed to be used for ball washers?

Maybe if you are over 7 feet tall or if you pull off some gymnastic moves in the shower.

LOL! Well, since I am missing that part of the anatomy you refer to, I'll stick with the right-where-you-hurt-from-walking-800-miles-in-1-day spot in my back. I'll leave the other "uses" for it to the male persuasion of Vegas visitors.
    Haaa!!!!
