In August, my wife and I used slotplaycoupons.com vouchers at Palms and had a lot of fun and made decent money doing so. This next trip, we'd like to do it again, however, we'll have our kids with us. I've only been to Palms twice, once to eat at N9NE and then last trip to gamble for a few hours. If we were to take the kids and switch off parenting duties to allow one of us to go gamble, is there anything fun to do with the kids on the property? Thanks for any insight.

They have a movie theater there at least.

Depending on how old your kids are, there's a GoKart place just west (walking distance) of the Palms.

That got closed and an Earl of Sandwich location was placed inside there.

If the kids are boys old enough to be interested in girls, they'll be fine just looking at the eye candy throughout the resort!

By next trip you mean the one over this coming Thanksgiving or so?

Since we do not know the age of the kids, but you are doing the parent duty, to me that means 12 and under.

    Yowza.

    1. Brenden Movie Theatres at the Palms. How many movies can you see?

    2. The Food Court. Ugh. I am not a fan of the Food Court, but the new Chronic Tacos ain't bad.

    3. Not sure if either pool will be open. It is getting close to winter and they might be down for maintenance. If the pools are open, I do not think they are heated.

After those three then it is off property

    4. Bowling Alley across the street at Gold Coast, something like 90 lanes.

    5. You MUST take them to the Rio for the Parade in the Sky. FREE!!!! There is a little song and dance show then the parade goes around on the rails up on the ceiling. They ALWAYS throw beads at kids, ALWAYS.

    6. The M&M Store

    7. The giant gaming place by the M&M store. Usually 10% or more of the games won't be working.

    8. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Knights of Camelot Show(whatever it is called) at Excalibur. We took our young son there. Entertaining. Food soso, but it was all about entertaining the kid.

    9. A Magic show? I know Lance Burton used to have a daytime show that was kid friendly. Maybe some other acts do that. Lance Burton retired.

    10. Talking Statues at Caesars. Pretty cool. Free. While over there go into FAO Schwartz.

    11. Live Statue Show at Bellagio. Free. So so.

    12. Free Pirate Show at TI, if it has not shutdown for winter. Free. Cool.

    13. Volcano at Mirage. Blah. But free.

    14. Circus Circus. I have not been there in years, they still might have the free circus acts and the game rooms around there.

    15. New York New York. Has a game room and a roller coaster. Get in the front car on a new moon night, well worth it if your kids can handle roller coasters.

    16. Go up to Downtown for the Fremont Street Light Show. Of course, you get the drunks to go with it.

All these free shuttles I am guessing on, please do not hold them as fact.

At the Palms there is a FREE shuttle that goes to Caesars. Something like 10 AM to 8 PM.

Gold Coast also has a free shuttle that is 9 AM to 1 AM. It goes to Orleans and the Strip.

Rio also has a free shuttle, I know it goes until 10 AM to 1 AM. I think it goes to Ballys(Strip) and Harrahs(Strip).

Wow, quite the effort, BackInVegas! Much appreciated. However, we have plenty of activities planned for the whole trip. Maybe I should have been more specific, but in this thread I was just looking for something to kill half an hour or so at/near Palms while my wife/I can run $40 of credit through a machine. I like the Parade in the Sky idea at Rio. Thanks!

I just returned from 3 of 5 nights at The Palms and while I really enjoy it there, other than the theatre there isn't anything kid oriented right on site. I did see upwards of 10 near naked women though, about half of which required more cover. Mind you, this was in the days just proceeding Halloween. While their attire didn't appear to be a costume, perhaps it was. I dressed a bit scantily in Vegas when I was younger, but to my recollection (and it's Vegas so admittedly it's foggy at times), I'm almost certain I never walked through the Casino at 6am in a thong and garters...almost. If I did, no pictures....can't prove it! Oddly enough on this trip and my last stay at Palms in May, I saw the same old guy in a floral robe in the Casino. Pretty sure it was the same robe. You may have to explain why people are walking around in their underwear. You can say they lost their shirts gambling.
