Looking for free parking, nice size rooms, big baths, close to lower cost craps $5 min tables, comfy beds,

wynn cost a hundred more for three nights, is it worth the difference?

vdara seems far walk to get to the strip.

thanks any info would be good

I'd say Vdara wins due to the "close to $5 craps tables" requirements (at Planet Hollywood, or Monte Carlo).

It's a short walk from Vdara to the strip, through Aria/Monte Carlo, through Bellagio, or back east on Harmon Ave. Arguably a shorter walk than (for example), walking from your room @ WynnCore to TI.

Both properties offer everything else on your list, the decision will probably revolve around what part of the strip you want to spend most of your time at.

You should put this in the thread you already have started. And, every casino on the strip has free parking.

I'm staying at Vdara in less than 4 weeks :nworthy:

I started a similar thread in this forum a few weeks ago. Please search for "Vdara Questions" and take a look as I'm sure the thread would answer most of your questions-- except for the $5 craps...

Actually Vdara is all Valet. No self parking. So theres tipping involved... not sure if Golfer is ok with that.

Vdara is a very nice hotel but its no Wynn. Only a 100 extra to stay at the Wynn seem like a bargain.

    1. The suite is bigger but no much better, imo. You get a full fridge and freezer which is a definite plus. You also get another sink and toilet.
However, everything else, the bedroom and livingroom area being bigger is not that much a plus unless you paid little coin to get it.

    2. Doubtful. I'd check the $20 trick section. FREE is a whole other ball game.

    3. Parking garage is directly next to the hotel entrance. Yes.

You are "up a ramp" on Harmon. Mouse right and you'll see.

There is also the option to self-park at the aria, then either walk through aria to vdara, or take the tram to bellagio, and through the covered walkway. The latter was my preference instead of valet parking.

Same parking garage for hotel guests as for casino/restaurant guests. Seems like lots of extra hassle, but if it works, then go for it. We used to rent a car and stopped doing that. Now we drink and go when and where without problems.

Vdara is a really easy walk to Bellagio and Aria. It's essentially on the Strip itself. Also not a bad walk to places like PH and Mirage and TI that will have some cheaper tables at off hours, as others have mentioned. Also get huge rooms for the price.

    Really?

There are people that say it takes a long time to hit the strip from places like Bellagio. Vdara is back further than that. See this map or this overhead

I rarely use valet anywhere, but the drop off at Vdara is very close to the front desk and elevators, maybe 100' away and the only way to go, convenient and cheap (tip). I got twisted up looking for the Aria self park and didn't try to find Bellagio's parking.

    looking

Hey looking at that map it seems to me that you can go from vdara to cosmo and not have to go to street. is there a walkway or am I looking at it wrong? Seems shorter then aria or bellgio? also dont see a tram I thought there was a tram where is that and where do you board

Vdara isn't exactly on the strip. The walk to Bellagio or Aria isn't too bad. You will not find $5 craps at any higher tier casino on the weekends, maybe weekdays.

The Wynn is nice, but the location is so far north. If you want $5 craps, go to MC or something similar as stated before. The Wynn would be so much better if it were located at MC or NYNY area.

Parking at Bellagio was better for me.

    It's a 5 minute walk.

Vdara is essentially on Frank Sinatra and not the strip.

    No, not possible.

You have to go out the front door
Go hard left down the elevator or stairs
Walk up Harmon (towards the strip)
Go left into the first opening (Cosmo)

You can go out the front of Vdara, down the east side steps to Harmon and into the West Cosmo parking and valet entrance to the casino.
