I am thinking of booking a "just for me" solo trip for mid Dec. I have had a lot going on lately and thinking it would be a nice X-mas present to myself. A nice relaxing solo trip. Airfare is dirt cheap, rooms are free, cant see a reason not to do it.

I went on the same weekend a couple years ago and only had one good day of weather, but it was still better than Ohio weather!

I have never done a solo trip, so kinda nervous about it. I really dont want anyone else going though, I have always taken others and felt somewhat responsible for their entertainment.

Well, how will you know whether you like solo trips if you never take one? Go for it!

I do Vegas solo almost exclusively. I love being on my own schedule. I also tend to agree with myself on everything I want to do, which works out well.

Never question yourself on taking a solo trip. Just do it!

Solo trips are great. I just returned last night (it was my 9th solo trip in 2013).

About half my vegas trips are solo. They are very different, but nothing to be concerned about. Think of it this way: you can do whatever you want!

Thinking just a three nighter, that way I know I can stay busy and not be bored. I really dont think I would get bored though.

I did a solo five night trip last month and will be solo the first three days out of eight this month. It's like this … solo beats the hell out of not going at all … period! Not that you should listen or care about a consensus, but there seems to be one in this instance saying to go for it. Have a great trip!

We're still trying to put together a mid-December trip.

9 of my 12 trips have been solo. So relaxing, can do everything I want to do and not worry about pleasing someone else, especially the wife. LOL. In fact, my next two trips will be solo trips. Have fun and enjoy your trip.

Do it, my last 3 visits have been solo and thoroughly enjoyed myself not having to worry about pleasing anyone else other than yourself. If your going to drink heavy tho try to do it in your own hotel so it's not too far to fall into bed :drunk:

Most of my trips are solo but I meet up with folks about half the time. Solo is definitely the way to go so you can do whatever you want without having to worry about what other people want to do.

I don't think I could do it.. not because I wouldn't want to be alone in Vegas.. but my willpower sucks.. I chase losses, and if I didn't have someone else there to meet or do things with.. I would probably gamble the entire. Having my husband or friends with me helps me lead a more normal life. I go to bed at a normal time.. I eat meals.. you know normal ;).

I loved my solo trip. I completely understand your feelings about entertaining others. Solo, I did what I wanted..when I wanted. I didn't feel bad about staying on a table till four am. I ate what and when I wanted. It was the best!!!

You should go for it! My friend and I went to Vegas in September and since I am in Denver and she is in Orlando her flight left Vegas really early in the morning and I had a night flight out. I was so worried I was going to get bored and lonely and I ended up having the best day.

I met some people at the pool who ended up teaching me how to play craps. I had so much fun I ended up missing my flight back home. Got another night at Trop and came home the following morning. .

I'm planning another solo trip soon.

Going the weekend before christmas, Fri-Mon myself solo as a gift to myself. I work hard, only been one other time in 2013, room is free except for fees...it was a no-brainer for me. This will be my second straight trip solo and to be honest, I couldn't be more excited. Like everyone else...solo is so nice. It can be whatever you want it to be. Let us know what you decide!
