To piggyback on the Nancy Reagan theme, the best policy when it comes to clubs is abstinence :poke:

I can say that in 18 years of living in Vegas and working in nightclubs have I ever had a guy say he had been slipped something. I have seen many women tho. I have seen people make up stories on getting jumped and robbed, wallet snagged but never. The guy said they had a table, that means someone in his group had to slip him something. But hey, there's that one guy a yr.

This right here, it never ceases to amaze me how many people will accept a drink from a stranger. I did once when i was just 18 and it was laced with acid, but back then i was dumb and stupid (MB is 18 to drink & gamble). It could have been worse for me.

I never let my drink leave my side unless my husband is watching it.

She was probably like 225. This was like 9 years ago and I'm still trying to recover. My friends always like to remind me and there's pictures floating around there somewhere.

LOL. I'm going to assume this happen more on an average weekend in any random city.

No one necessarily slipped him anything. There's also such a thing as drinking too much and blacking out. LOL. And thats all done by your own self and choice and no one else.

I've blacked out before at a Vegas club, courtesy of Marquee's owner's Bday bash. Free bottles for everyone... and club stayed open til 8am. Sure... why not. That was my own doing and I didnt blame someone else.

But on a serious note, you should always watch your drink. If someone gets you a drink, make sure you are there to be there when the bartender hands over the drink so you can get it yourself.
    Common sense stuff...

honey, wheres all your money and why didn't you answer your phone...?

Well, er, er, there was this club (flashback to the hangover) and er - I was Drugged..... and when I woke up...

it may be true (no report to police, no request for the video) - but the lesson is the same anyway- don't drink anything you haven't seen prepared...

This is why I always try and drink from a bottle. You never know what somebody could drop in your drink or whether or not the glass has even been properly washed. Though from what I remember some of the clubs use plastic cups now I think, so you just throw it away afterwards???

Must have been a horrible exprience but this must happen a lot and in other countries and citys I never accept a drink from a stranger unless I can see the bar tender pour it and then never put a drink down (keep it clamped till its gone)

Let me be honest....as a single gal, it is very difficult to be 100% sure that your drink is safe. How many times have you held your drink in your hand and looked away to talk to someone or some other distraction....all it takes is a second and then poof!

Having friends around helps a lot. Makes the creeps have to watch more than just your set of eyes.

I think you are right. The guys doing the shell game on the streets put the pea where they want even while we are intently watching to see where it goes.
