    Resort Credits at Mandalay Bay

I need a refresher on where resort credits can be used at Mandalay Bay.

Can they be used at HOB, Hussong's, Border Grill, Lupo or is it just MB owned, such as Bayside, Raffles etc.?

And I think the resort credits can be used at the spa? Correct?

    Thanks everyone!:nworthy:

Anything you can charge to your room, except retail and tips.

You can eat at any restaurant in any MGM hotel and charge it to your room at MB. Bar tabs, Cabana, spa... all good.

Thanks jdvegas! So I can use resort credits from MB and use them at Aria buffet (for example)? Just charge everything to my room at MB?

    This is wonderful.

Yes just charge it to your room and make sure they apply the resort credits to the bill before you check out.

Mandalay Bay shops don't work, don't make that mistake like I did. I ate at Burger Bar and at end of trip my host had to fix the charge because I wasn't told what restaurants were allowed.

If the restaurant allows you to charge it to your room, it is covered (except tip). Not sure why you would have a problem?? Just ask before you are seated if you can charge to your MB room and you are good.

Are you saying the Burger Bar allowed you to do a room charge?

Yes, they had no problem with charging to my room. My host said the front desk should've told me what restaurants work and because they didn't she made them fix it to where it's covered. I also learned the little convenience store doesn't count either, that I payed for.

Correct on the convenience store/gift shop - that is classified as retail. But I am fairly certain you are mistaken on the restaurant limitations. Perhaps your host thought you were just complaining about it not being comped? :peace:

I had $200 resort credit and only used $213.xx. The gift shop was $20 which I payed for so I was still under my $200, she specifically said Burger Bar doesn't fall under the resort credit and I should've been told by front desk at check-in....so who know's, just my experience. This was the only time I ever had an issue at any hotel with credit being involved.

Great info, folks. Is there a list of 'allowed' restaurants that can be used for your resort credits?

You are best served by asking them at check in if there are any restaurants not included. So far when I have charged any MGM resort restaurant back to my room my resort credit has been applied to it, but always best to check to see if things have changed at the last minute.

Pretty sure this is fine. It just comes through as a "ticket charge".

In any event, between meals and drinks we blow through it either way.

When we checked in at signature last week, we were given a letter that detailed where we could use our credit. We checked with the front desk to confirm that we could use it at a restaurant not listed and had no problems. YMMV.
