Is Circus-Circus a good place for a low roller to earn top level VIP status? I was looking at their website and their top two cards had some great sounding benefits. The top Sapphire tier level is a modest $100k of play (moderate CET Diamond play level) yet it includes these key benefits: Complimentary Premium Liquor While Gambling Guaranteed Room Availability Personal Casino Host VIP Host Lounge Access Complimentary Late Checkout Invitation to Annual New Year’s Eve Gala Airport Limousine Transportation Complimentary Semiannual Adventuredome Theme Park Tickets* Complimentary Semiannual Spa/Golf* VIP Check-in Privileges/Room Upgrade/Restaurant Line Pass Complimentary Semiannual (MGMMirage) Show Tickets* Premium Room Amenities *Upon Request Includes: In-Room Beverages (Water, Juice, Soft Drinks, Beer, and Liquor) http://circuscircus.com/images/PDF/CircusPlayersClubPrivileges.pdf These are more stated tier benefits than MLife NOIR/TR Seven Stars, but something the average person could obtain. Where else do you get stocked liquor for your room? So my question is, if I could bare the children/families/strollers is this a good deal for a midlevel player?
You'd have to play at Circus Circus to get that though. Do you really want to do that? They do have some of the best VP on the strip available, fwiw, though.
with all do respect if your dropping 100 grand for free liqoure in your room as a perk you have a problem ,casinos give away alchol like ice cream. also you would have to stay and play at circus circus there alot more you can get with the modest 100k play.
Circus-Circus VIP Benefits for Mid-Range Players The actual loss would be around that of Harrah's Diamond, not $100k; as even most Seven Star's don't loose $100k going for their 150,000 points/$750,000 of play. Play and actual loss are two different things. These are benefits that we offered in the years past, like stocked booze etc., but you are right you still have to gamble there. They do seem to have nice rooms/suites and a great Steakhouse though!
I was thinking the same thing, especially that you'd be at Circus Circus: if you get a high tier at MGM or CET properties you have a choice of different places to stay and while your play might only get you a nice upgrade at Aria it'd get a suite at some of the lower properties. But looking at the Circus Circus perks: Bet high anywhere and you can usually get the same, some places you usually just need to tip the waitress a little extra. At Circus Circus? Other than when a HUUUUUUGE convention is on across the street this won't be a problem. Its not that hard to get a casino host. If you have need of one, even as a mid level play, you can just go ask to speak to one. Same as above. Most properties will give you late checkout until 1PM for free, might be a little harder at super busy times of year like NYE. If you need later than that most places you can get a 5-6PM checkout for $20 if you can't get it for free. That'll save you about $200... if you are going to Las Vegas at NYE and if you want to spend your NYE at Circus Circus. Were it me I'd rather be mid strip. You can get a limo for about $50 each way at the airport. Don't know how much this normally costs. Depends on how much you would use it for how valuable it is to you. Not sure how much this would be worth or what all it would entail. But there are a few golf courses in the area you could go play at if golf is your thing. I like line passes... but again, if you are a high enough roller this should be something you can get out of your host every trip just by asking for it. Every offer I get from MGM properties comes with 2-for-1 tickets (sometimes free, usually 2-for-1) so you'd probably be really saving the cost of one ticket twice per year. There are lots of little stores in the area where you could go and load up on supplies for the room. I dunno.... I can say that its nice to get perks and all that, but these ones aren't worth chasing after because they don't really save you all that much and aren't that hard to get if you put in a solid amount of play. The big issue is: if you do this you are going to be kind of latching on to Circus Circus... there are so many better places to stay and play with better locations.
That's a very good point, I remember when I was in college in the 90s, Lady Luck had a campaign about what comps you would get based on play/deposit. At the time I thought the same thing about them. Downtown, The Plaza's new program has many of the same benefits (one bedroom suite, etc.) as Circus-Circus, with the added bonus of a 100% bonus free-pay for all royals, for all Ace level cards.
Worth noting that the top tier requires 50,000 pts which on VP requires $500,000 of coin in. Just to get to Platinum requires $100,000 of VP action.
Good point, though Total Rewards would require 15,000 tier points at $10 per point which is $150,000 play for (low level) Diamond to 150,000 tier points for Seven Stars, which is $1.5 Million Dollars of VP play.
Still Circus does have a great steakhouse and for tier benefits they are very good, as are the Plaza Royal Program.
Fine "Old School" Place! I just got back from my stay there and found their staff to be great. The steakhouse was outstanding and Casino Tower rooms were great too! The Player's Club seemed very generous, as too the general play.
