I haven't tried all of the Boyd casinos for breakfast but my top 3 are Gold Coast, Orleans & Suncoast. The main reason for those is I was staying there. That said would I go from one corporate property to another, yes.

    Suncoast Rocks!

We have tried all the Boyd casinos breakfast buffets except Sams. Suncoast is our favorite.

Here's how I would rank them for breakfast:

    Suncoast
    Orleans
    Gold Coast
    MSS
    Fremont

And I include Fremont on the list as dead ass last only because there isn't a lower ranking for them. Frankly, I'd rather eat a yogurt and a banana in my room than go back to Fremont.

    YMMV.

    Cheers,
    Kelly

While I generally like Boyd casinos, I avoid their buffet offerings after poor trips to Fremont, Gold Coast and my last trip to MSS (couldn't find much edible at my last dinner trip in November) . I haven't eaten the buffets at their remaining properties (Stardust's buffet also was poor back in the day).

I'd consider nothing beyond breakfast which is hard to screw up. I'll choose other options at their casinos instead of their buffets (Triple 7, Pasta Pirate or Redwood downtown, The Oyster place at Orleans or Ping Pang Pong or the hot dog stand at Gold Coast).

I stayed at Orleans last month, had their breakfast buffet 3 times in 4 days, for the money (with discount for Bconnected members) it is hard to beat.

I'm guessing the price was $5.99 same as the Gold Coast. Considering the price and quality that's a good deal and maybe a great deal.IMHO

MSS is fine. I was very disappointed at Fremont.

While we never have eaten the buffet at Fremont, we always choose the server option for breakfast if we eat there, I always thought it looked good walking by. I like the option of fresh made pancakes and omelets. But, I prefer the server, order off the menu, option even more.

Wow - I disagree with all these rankings. We really enjoy breakfast (and especially Brunch) at Fremont. The service is excellent and the food is good.

MSS has been disappointing every time we have been, we kept trying it because everyone says it is great, but to us the service is terrible and all the food items all taste the same - yuck.

We also tried the breakfast buffet at Orleans based on good reviews and thought it was terrible, we won't go back.

I haven't tried the others, so I guess my rankings would be for Fremont, and then the ones I haven't tried in any order, since I know nothing about them, and then at the very very bottom, off the end of the page I would put MSS and then Orleans.

I'm with you Tequila Cat. The brunch at the Fremont is perhaps the best buffet deal downtown. I don't know what the current price is, but last time I was there, it was $9.99 and offered prime rib and crab legs. Even if the price has gone up a couple bucks, it would be worth it. I can't remember all the other selections, but do remember leaving there thinking how reasonably priced it was for a brunch.

Totally agree. We think the MSS buffet is very overrated.

I recently enjoyed the Fremont breakfast buffet, my son liked it also. I prefer the Gold Coast to the MMS breakfast, one reason is the lack of real butter, and not as many choices..

    From a buffet killers perspective...
MSS, Orleans, and GoldCoast are all great buffets....
Now, Suncoast, Fremont, and Sams Town...nah...not worth the money

I've been to both Gold Coast and MSS for breakfast and thought they were both fine for the $ I'm usually trying to teach my body who's boss on s Sunday or Monday morning after a rough night.

Are you serious? I don't care how good the food is, that right there is a dealbreaker! :confused2:
