After lurking for a while I decided to join. We visit Vegas usually twice a year and love it there. When the wife retires I'll bet we will visit six or more times a year! We both play slots and I also play some craps. Looking to pick some brains here because as low rollers we are always looking for free stuff!!
Welcome to the board! I just retired and haven't figured out how to increase our twice a year trips....maybe since airfare is tooooo high and need more time between trips to save bankrolls...oh, but I can only wish... Good luck to you - hope it works out.
It's nice for us ass all it takes it a tank of gas and four and one half hours to get there. Want to visit Vegas more often? Simple, Move Closer!!
Welcome to the board. I play both the slots and craps and can say comps are more with the slots. Easier to build and also track. Also, where you play the slots matter as well. If you play at any MGM property it varies drastically as opposed to CET properties where it is consistent.
We are in Glendale, one mile from University of Phoenix Stadium, Jobbing Dot Com Arena, and (soon to be) the newest T'onto Odom (sp) casino.
Welcome aboard. I’m in the 4 ½ hrs. from chandler club, with quick stop in Wickenburg and a gas stop in Kingman. I am on schedule to make 5 trips this year.
Yea, if my better half can hold out until Kingman that saves us up to 20 min! With the new bridge past the Hoover dam completed that saved a lot of time, about a half hour, didn't have to stop for the "terrorist" checkpoint or slow down (sometimes a stop) going over the dam. It's quicker but there was always something about driving over the dam. Guess you can't have everything.
Glad I'm not that close, or I would go more often. :evillaugh I do fly out of Williams Gateway Airport to get there sometimes. Especially if I go solo; then it costs the same to drive or fly for one!
Allegiant would be great if it werent for all the fees...still $200 round trip. Gas is less than that
Right now it is, because gas is under $4 a gallon! :evillaugh Truthfully I hate sitting behind the wheel for 6 hours, alone, with no cruise control for my tired achy feet. So I'd rather fly. 25 years ago I loved the drive, but not so much anymore.
