I'm a DT regular, but usually flying solo or with my wife. I'm setting up a "guys trip" for 6-12 of us. We can just stay in rooms with 2 guys per room, but a larger suite would be fun too.

Does anywhere DT have decent sized suites that might sleep 4-6 guys (each in their own bed). I'm not aware of any, but thought I'd ask. I really don't want to end up on the strip.

We're also looking to have some meetings, a few hours or so long, on two of the afternoons. Anyone know of any properties DT that would have small board room type facilities to rent?

    Thanks!

The D has a ballroom on the 12th floor that has those fold out walls to make smaller rooms.

The Plaza does have some 2 BR suites that have queen beds but I'm not sure if that would be 2 BRS with 2 queen beds each as I would think one of the bedrooms would likely be a King.

For meeting spaces, I know GN has some smaller rooms that might hold around 20-30 people. I would also maybe check MSS (the old Pullman Grille space is super nice). Look at Joe's pics.

    Downtown Suites etc

Ohhh, the Pullman would be an awesome place for our gathering. We're all optometrists who would be presenting on a few topics to each other so that type of set up would be perfect. We could elect our own "cocktail waiter" to make runs to 777 for drinks.

Those pictures are awesome. We've always thought about going up there but have never gotten around to it.

    Thanks!

Our law firm has met for a firm meeting (4 partners) at the Fremont for several years. We each had our own room and used the small board room on the second floor of the Fremont for our meetings. The hotel was very accomodating, and provides water, coffe, soft drinks etc. I would suggest giving them a call. They may have board rooms of varying sizes avaialble. We were very pleased.

Pullman is ideal for meetings. It can accommodate large or small groups. We had a meeting there of about 25 and it was the perfect room.

Golden Nugget is also great. Many meeting space options, both large and small.

El Cortez has some smaller board rooms that are near the casino floor.

I also attended a lecture series earlier this year on the 3rd floor at the plaza and they have multiple small meeting rooms. They also have some really big suites that can sleep 8 people but I think you need a host to get them. I would call the sales department for any hotel downtown and ask if you're getting a meeting room if they can help with hotel rooms.

Ditto on the Fremont suggestion. If you call early enough, you can get everyone their own room on 1 or 2 floors, and if it's important, some can be adjoining. Depending on your dates, you could could easily get an average per-room-night charge of less than $40. 12x40 = $480 a night for 12 people. Most every suite I've ever seen is realistically a 4-person max... so, you'd be looking at 3 suites to accommodate your group. You'd have to find them at $160/night or less to be comparable to 12 rooms at the Fremont.
I don't think you'd be able to do so...not even with off-strip properties.
    Good luck!

The suite concept for us isn't about saving money, its about having a place to hang out and chill. I know, plenty of public places to do that, but its nice to have a place to gather, mix a cocktail etc before or after heading out.

Thanks to all for the input, I wasn't aware the Fremont or Plaza had meeting/board rooms.
