    1 room
    Subtotal: $138.00
    Taxes & Fees: $16.23
    Total: $154.23

It is the lowest rate I saw on FSE. Boyd's are SOLD and The D wants over $100 for Fri and Sat. I don't even look at the Nugget.

I didn't think to look beforehand and I see now it is non-refundable. After reading some posts about high rates in September I did it to lock in the dates and figured I'd cancel if I got a comp offer.

Oh well. Shows you what I know.

If I get a decent comp offer I'll just have to double-book or go another weekend. Hate to see a perfectly good comp go to waste.

yes the rates are very high for the first weekend in Sept....I also booked at 4 queens, but I booked directly from the website, and got the 3rd night free (staying 5 nights) Sat night was reasonable at 69, and Sun night 37, Mon free, Tues 33, Wed, 33. total left to pay after taxes and minus the first night rate already paid is 121, I prefer to book directly thru hotel if I can get the same price as a 3rd party so they cant blame anyone else if something isnt right.
Heck, if you have a comp, and can go more often than I can (once a yr if lucky) I would save the comp and use later

It was your thread that spurned me into action. Even if I shot myself in the foot I have the comfort of knowing I have a room for the kick-off to the NFL season, so "thanks". You are welcome to all the coffee in my room as I am not a coffee drinker.

It seems my comps are slowing to a trickle, at least for weekend nights. I think it's a combo of them being tightwads and me spreading out my gaming budget via the bus to other casino's.

You know, somebody else around here might jump all over that like slow-pitch right down the middle of the strike zone...but not me!

LOL I will try not to make a habit out of knocking on strange mens (or womens) doors in vegas and asking for coffee. But desperate times call for desperate measures sometimes ya know. :drunk:
