I am Diamond and while I play HL slot, if you put in 4 hours minimum with an average spin of 2.50-3.50, you'll likely get comped rooms.

I play BJ at $10-20 level for about 4 hours a day mixed in with a little bit of slots and I get weekday comps everywhere except Caesars, and some weekends at Quad/Ballys/Flamingo

It is all down to total amount bet, and then daily average. If you have a few low play days, that can kill your average. Also, if they see enough times with someone getting free rooms, but little or no play, they slow the the offers. Simple business stuff.

CET also does some marketing tricks. First time visitors tend to get nice offers to come back.

Next big thing - stop looking for offers and check the monthly rate calendar.

I only get comped rooms wherever i stay at. This year it's Rio, Caesars, and Bally's. Rio and Bally's also have no resort fee. I decided to also take Caesars comped in the summer for a total of 3 weeks. In my case, most of my hotels are comped, i always stay from Sun-Fri. In fact, i'm comped up through April 2014. I play specific types of slots and various amounts, mostly quarters then upgrading to dollars with occasional max pennies. I am a Gold card TR holder and plan my entire stay using the rate calender. I get plenty of offers on my e-mail and TR account, however, the rate calender is where i get comped rooms at most properties. I was surprised when i noticed Caesars was comped for the first week in August, so i took it. Perhaps the only reason i get so many comps is because i only gamble at CET, so my ADT score is pretty good since i base my total gambling bankroll per day at around $300-$400 @ 5 nights = $1500-$2000 at CET properties. If there is some other reason......i'd love to hear it.

I hear a lot about first time visitors getting nice offers to come back I have yet to see anything nice. my wife had a conference at rio we paid ourself average of 150 a night for 5 nights and I wasn't a High Roller but put 100 or more in machine play a day at rio and other cet casinos. How long before it would take to see an offer?

My monthly calendar is WORSE than my offers! Monthly calendar = $3 cheaper than non logged in calendar rates!

Sort of surprised to hear that the $10-$20 is doing the trick. The magic number people say always seems to be $25

I play penny slots at the minimum levels for probably at least four hours where I am checked in and maybe a few hours more at other locations. I get better comps when I return from lower end hotels that when I stay at CP or Paris. But I also have local casinos I can hit. Sometimes my play locally helps get better Vegas offers and vice versa. I usually always have some sort of few nights at the Quad and the other lower end places either in offers or on the calendar. I only get extras or tourneys once in a blue moon. My offers are best when they project to be slow. I did seem to be cut off but it looks like the Platinum renewal triggered something because I am seeing more offers. It does seem to me that the pattern of offers change based on some sort of quarterly reassessment.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter how other people get their comps, though. You need to know how you are rated to start with. And there are variables like if you short played them or if they feel they overcomped you in the past that we can't diagnose here.

Consistently inconsistent. We're both penny slot and quarter VP people. Since the Great Recession hit we're able to score freebee rooms, sometimes even at Caesars, over the slow periods like the week before the holidays.

In the spring/summer the offerings have been fairly meager. Logged-in calendar rates are usually somewhat cheaper than cold-surfing rates, but no totally free nights either for this trip or in June. Both were booked in advance of the Resort Fee Fiasco.

Not sure if this will help, but here is what I have from my E-Statement from the past 2 trips listed under Gaming (Slots, Table Games, Poker Play)

    7,143 & 4,758

Not really sure what it means but do know it gets me free rooms.

I'm pretty much a low rollers. I've never spent more than about $135 total in any gambling day at CET propeties (coin through is more, of course). I almost always pay penny slots at about $0.15 to $0.25/spin for 4-8 hours per day along with some blackjack ($5/hand) for maybe 2-3 hours. I typically only play at the Quad, Flamingo, and Bally's. Right now, I can get Quad comped during the week (and sometimes Bally's and Rio). I have to pay for most weekends though, unless it's a really slow time of the year.

Just a guess. But, you have 5 days play, or even possibley 6 or7 depending on checkin, checkout, play times. Therefore, your AVERAGE daily play could be terrible.

    True story:

I used to go down to breakfast in the morning, and play $20. Figured out that that was tracked by their system as a $20 day. Therefore, my average took a beating. No longer use my card if first is short, or last day is short.

But if you are booked into their hotel then they know you are there, right? and so even no play would be worse?

    Not necessarily
Not if you are checking out. Your day ends at 6am (+/-) that morning of check out, so if you are leaving the hotel at 9am and play only $20, that is what will trigger a "new day" and hurt your average.

If you have a 7am flight and leave the hotel at 5am to catch your flight, it wouldn't be right for that day to trigger a new day. Plus, if you square up with your host or players club the night before, which is essentially "checking out," you have done it before a new day even begins.

My free rooms have mostly gone (except for a couple weeknights at lower tiers from the offers) since I no played them in September.

Prior to that I played $25 BJ (maybe 1-2 hours a day max), and poker (used to be maybe 3 hours a day).

I'm in the process of shifting my CET play to all poker (in a recent trip it was more like 7 hours a day). It will probably be this time next year before I see what that will get me long term.

Remember that room demand and rates have been rising, though, and we are moving into high season. So even if you've maintained very consistent averages, it would not be a surprise to see comps dry up somewhat.

I play craps, pai gow poker and VP at the 3 Atlantic City boardwalk properties and probably average 1,000 to 1,500 tier credits per day. I just checked the calendar and can get free rooms everywhere, except Caesars AC on Saturdays and Tunica for New Years.
