Is the begining of October typically still pool weather?

Been twice in October, first time it was great weather, went last year and mostly it was very warm but it did rain a couple of days, and when I say rain, I mean monsoon.

But generally I would expect early October to be good weather wise.

I've actually made it to the pool by the middle/late October for a little while, but its not a lock like if you're going in the summer months. It can get a little windy, but if you're directly in the sun it can be warm enough for an hour or two.

Early October you should be fine to do pools. The weather should still be in the low 80's high 70's. But there is the potential for rain and a 10 degree weather swing.
Around 3 years ago one of my coworkers went the first week of october and it was low to mid 70's and rain. Then I went the following week and it was between 78 and 84 and clear everyday.

i'd say that's later than you really want. mid-Sept is about as late as I would consider "pool weather". sure you can swim any time of the year, but the air will likely be very cool that late and sunning or floating in the pool is not that pleasant. I think low to mid-90s is perfect for pool weather. 70s to low-80s is too cold for the pool, but perfect golf weather!

Another vote for September being the last
    good month for "pool weather".
    .
    I agree w/ Shifter.
    .
In Oct. it can be a bit cool for getting
in + out of a pool all wet.
Add a slight breeze and it's cold.
    But.......
I've done it MANY times !

I was there last October for Canadian Thanksgiving / Columbus Day and it was hot enough for the pool.

My anniversary is October 19th and we go there alot during that time. I'd say half the time it's been pool weather. But even if its not warm enough to swim, I still so enjoy just sitting out there reading for awhile.

I've been in October twice. Both times the pool weather was spectacular. The last trip was the first week of October with mid 90s weather. It was hot hot hot!

Everytime we go we hesitate on what to wear due to fluctuations in weather. It is GENERALLY warm and little wind and certainly golfing weather but not sure about in swimsuits. It is actually as welcome a break from the heat as spring is from the freeze. Last October the Orleans pool was open but only used by the young and those that read in the chairs in the sun.

But the weather is most tolerable.

I went last year for the first weekend in October - it was GREAT pool weather. Average temperatures drop fast through the month, but as long as you are going in the first part of October, you should be good - mid 80s.

I agree with some of the other posts that the variability/risk of bad weather is greater this time of year.

Here is average highs and lows by day through October:
