Background: Have an upcoming three night trip 4/11-4/14. Am mlife Noir, but haven't stayed played in a MGM/mlife casino since November. I have hosts in seven of the mlife casinos. Have never met any of them personally - most strictly emails or brief phone calls. Typically stay at Mirage (though last five trips out have been Wynn). I was bored & emailed them all a generic "what are my offers" / "what can you do for me" email. Here are the results:

    Aria: No response to date.

Bellagio: "I am sorry, your only offer includes a Salone Suite for 3 nights, $300 FP and $300 in food and beverage. Based on availability when you arrive you could upgrade to a bigger suite using your express comps."

Mandalay Bay: "Nice to hear from you, thought you forgot about us here at The Bay. It’s been over a year since you’ve played at Mandalay Bay; doesn’t matter that you haven’t “stayed” so much, because you’ve been playing at our sister properties in 2012. I currently show no offers for you.

However, if you have an offer from one of our “luxury” properties I would happily match that offer to get you back at Mandalay Bay. We are redefining resort this year and many renovations and upgrades are in the process, with many more coming this summer and fall!

I trust you will enjoy returning to Mandalay Bay once you get back inside and remember all that you’ve missed."

The Mirage: "Hi again! What specifically are your needs? We could set you up an a Tower King with $150 F&B and $300 FreePlay. It doesn't look like there are many offers with us since you've stayed elsewhere recently. Let me know how to proceed."

NYNY: "I found all your MGM offers...and they are all in the $300-$350 range. You haven't been to NYNY in such a long time you don't even have an offer with us.

So, I will have to load a lot of this stuff manually..which means we'll have to stay in touch during this return visit so things don't get jacked up....after we get you back up and running in NYNY's system your NYNY offers will get better.

I have made your reservation...arriving April 11th and departing on April 14
After we get you checked in...I will take you to the Players Club and put $900 in freeplay on your card. All my Penthouses are booked for this weekend. I have requested a Ziggurat suite for your stay. (I have put you on my calendar and I will check our Penthouse status daily; if a Penthouse opens up, I'll grab one for you)

Send air info and I'll send a car to McCarran to bring you in...

As for your express comps.... there is not a lot you can do with them and you should be using them on your food & beverage and such..it's a pain and most
hosts don't want to spend the time on this but when you get here I'll tell how the primary and express stuff works. And yes, I do have some tricks I can tell you.

I have made you reservation so let me know if this is OK with you."

Monte Carlo: "I will be out of the office until Thursday, March 21. I can see what we can do then."

Interesting... What is it about NYNY anyway?

That's an interesting read. A whole lot of "don't care" and then NYNY blasts it out of the park on the verge of begging you to stay with them.

Sorry - the thread was getting long...

Luxor: "Hi Sweetie. We don't have any offers for you at this time. You haven't stayed or played with us in over five years, which limits what I can do for you. I see you are Noir, so you have been playing other places - good for you.

If you are serious about coming down, I could give you a suite, $300 in FreePlay and $100 per day in F&B. You'll love our beautiful hotel."

Interesting. Since you are Noir, your play would be strong.

As a fellow Noir, I find what they offer does vary from property to property. I actually have great summer offers at mlife.com and that is what Bellagio and Mirage offered for upcoming trip. I have yet to hear back from Aria.

Will probably pick Mirage since they are promising a suite for 4 nights where Bellagio is offering a space available Salone suite for 3 nights.

If you like NYNY, then that looks more promising as the host actually cares about you. That offer of extra freeplay sounds great. If you play slots, I treat that the same as cash.

I bet I know which host that was from NYNY.
I get asked why I stay there by a ton of people but I have the same thing like that every single time I stay there. MB host matches that also.

Wow. Well being a free play "slut" I know where I'd be staying. The Ziggurat suite looks pretty good from the pictures.

You'd think as a Noir, there'd be massive butt-kissing and hosts vying for your stay and play.

    Guess not.

    Is CET Seven Stars better?

If you take NYNY up on the offer I hope you come back and report on the details of what your host tells you about the tricks and other inside baseball type stuff on comps.

I appreciate you sharing your expirement with us! Interesting responses. Again, everyone is tightening up; even for the bigger players.

I'm thinking I know who that host at NYNY is too.

NYNY is great. I stay there all the time. I really like the atmosphere at NYNY and the casino staff is usually really fun (at least during the day). I like the Ziggurat suites, they have plenty of space. I would take the NYNY offer.

My offers still don't say jackshit. Just a bunch of promos for upcoming events, free Skyloft, and call your host!

As an MLife Plat, I am surprised I don't have squat for offers...

It's like they don't want my play

I am Plat and don't have any offers showing on the website either, except for reduced nights. I have to e-mail all my hosts at each property to find out what offers I actually have, or at least what they will set me up with.

It's about ADT not so much your status level.

This does require repeating. Over and over.

Though, in most cases, if someone is at Noir, it would be rare that they did not have a decent ADT.

And it's especially worth repeating for MLife, as you get a TON of tier credits for your spend on the property. First time I ever stayed at an MGM property, it was at Mirage, and my wife's employer was picking up the tab for a conference, so we decided to stay somewhere we hadn't stayed. We had another couple with us, and I had booked both rooms under my name. The total for both rooms was like $1200 or something for four nights. That's enough TCs to get to Pearl alone. Throw in a couple of meals on the trip and now you're halfway to Gold. You could EASILY hit Platinum with Mlife with minimal to no gambling on a few trips a year paying out of pocket for everything and seeing a couple shows, having a couple nice meals, and paying for your room at a nicer property.

I understand that, and I achieved my plat level in only a couple trips, not by dragging it out over dozens of trips. If I had to guess, maybe three trips, where I didn't even stay on their property, but put in maybe 3+ hours, playing $5+ slot each visit between MGM, B and a little Aria

I usually maintain a pretty decent ADT and average bet.

MLife is a dang mystery. I cannot figure the website out. One day I have an offer the next day It is gone. I actually called a property and they claimed I had no offers even though I had them online. I do have an awesome corp offer for 60 fp and discounted rooms at bellagio. Go MLIFE., Pretty cool experiment you did. Very interesting results
