Please help me through the process of claiming the 100 loss and how to play it exactly afterward. I am a poker player and table player, and never play slots. So clueless when it comes to the slot world. I tried to do the trop promo last year and basically couldnt figure out the correct way to do it and lost 200. I guess there were certain machines that didnt count towards the promo. They were just labled but I was not told anything about this when getting my card for the first time. Then WHen I finally played the correct machine, I coudlnt figure out how to use the money that was put back on the card. You had to put a code in when you put your card into the slot machine (again was not told this so had no idea until I sat there trying to figure it out for while and had to go back up to the desk)

SO this time I want to be prepared since I will be taking my wife to sign up for a card for the first time, and I have a card but have never done this promo at cosmo so going to try it with her. I understand the whole if you dont lose the first day then you can come back the 2nd day to do it again. So if you put in 100 and get up to 200 cash out and the promo can be done again. So here are my questions.

    1. Are there any slot or video poker machines that do not count towards this promotion.

    2. Once you lose the 100, how do you use it and how do you get it put on your card to use.

    3. After you loses the 100 do you have to put money into the machine or is the 100 on your card, and you play it (one slot promo I did years ago you had to put 1.00 in of your own money to trigger the money on your card to work). And when you play it, lets say you play a 1.00 3 reel slot. So you max bet 3.00 per spin. If I hit 100 on first spin. Do I have 100 in real cash and 97 in the free slot play still. So if I spin again will the next 3.00 come out of the free 97 left on my card, or out of the 100 I won, or is it co-mingled together.

I might have more questions after this is answered but these are the basic ones I need to do this. My wife have never gambled at all. So I want to make this as easy of an experience for her as I can. She is freaking out about this trip cause we just got married, bought a new house, and then she had a bunch of medical things come up with her teeth that cost a lot of money (she wasnt on my insurance yet). So she would be excited to just win 100.00 to shop with. Sorry also if these questions seem very basic, but again, I know nothing of slots.

    1) Only slots with progressive jackpots are restricted. Not even all of those I believe but some of them are. All video poker is fine.

    2) Once you lose the original hundred go back to the Identity desk and they'll check that you lost it and then put the 100 freeplay on your card. They'll tell you how to activate it in a machine. Its easy, just put in your PIN or something.

    3) I did this less than 2 months ago but honestly can't remember if you had to insert real cash into the machine to get the promo play started. But as to the second part of your question each spin will first come out of the freeplay until the freeplay has run out. It won't come out of any credits you win while playing down the freeplay. So if you're playing $5 per spin you would have to play 20 spins and whatever credits you won during those 20 spins would have accumulated and you could cash them out. Its not co-mingled, it comes out of any available freeplay first.

I lost my original $100 on a $10 Top Dollar slot, its the only slot I throw a bit of money into once in a while. Then I put the freeplay in a $5 video poker machine ($25/spin). Told myself I'd play 4 spins to use up the freeplay and walk with whatever was left. That's what I did, left with $150 I think.

I took my FIL to the promo. He played Goldfish and won $700. He took the money and left. You do not have to lose.

I got all excited about this promo. I will be at the Mirage but my brother at the Cosmo so I will be going there anyway. It broke my heart that the web site said that the rebate thing was good through March. I am arriving in April. I'm really bummed out. I'm hoping they will have another offer for new sign ups in April that is just as good. Maybe they stopped it since so many were winning on the freeplay.

You have to use your own money to activate the freeplay. You have to put enough to cover the minimum bet. Example = If you play a $5 machine you have to atleast put $5 in.

This is perfect. You guys are answering all the questions I think. Hopefully I dont screw it up. And ya, hopefully I dont lose. The goal would be win something the first day on the original 100. Wait over 24 hours, go back and do it again.

I assume also you have to inform them before you play the 100 that you are doing this promotion. So since I already have a card but never done this promo, I have to tell them ahead of time I plan on doing this to have a chance at it. I guess If I dont qualify they will tell me at the desk.

Yes, you have to tell them first... its a promotion they have to activate on your card.

For this promotion it is important to note that because you have a card already you may not qualify for this promotion because it is officially for "new signups only"

When you signed up for your card you are given a choice of one of three promotions they offer/were offering: free slot play, a spin on the wheel o' prizes, the 'Play $100 on us' promotion.

If you took one of the other promotions (free slot play or spun the wheel) then you already had a signup bonus and are likely not going to qualify for this promotion. When we first signed up for the cards they didn't offer a choice and automatically signed us up for the free slot play promotion. When I got my card and asked about the 'Play $100 on us' promotion she had to take back our cards and reset the promotion so that we lost the free play she gave us, but we got the 'Play $100 on us' instead.

Do you actually have to loose $100 or just cycle through $100?

I was playing 50 per hand at bj switch when they first opened up. I was staying at aria and just wanted to check out the casino since it was close. The pit boss got me a card while playing and didnt do any promotion that I know of. He just took my ID and asked what I was at other properties, I gave him my highest ranking card and he came back with a cosmo card. If they put any free play on it I didnt use it. And he didnt ask me about any promotion. I usually go into cosmo every trip and play some 25-100 pai gow or some 25-50 bj switch to watch the girls stumble around in their skin tight bath towel of a dress when they are ripped. I would play there more but cant get comped there and their identity website is never working. And I am fine with free rooms at mirage and aria very cheap when I do pay. I love the aria sky suites and figure cosmo rooms wouldnt be enough of an upgrade to play there more.

I found out about the 100 promo from this very site, and am glad I did. Took my pal, we both signed up for the first time, I mentioned the promotion and off we went. I took my card, put in a fresh $100 bill, then I played a Triple Diamond dollar machine and on my third hit at max bet ($3), I won $600.00. Cashed out.

My friend lost her money, got another $100 on her card and won $300.00.

Wish they offered this promo everywhere! Enjoy! and best of luck!

So my understanding of the promo is since you didnt use the 100 rebate, you could have dont this again the next day. Or if you went back this month, you could do it again. Am I correct on this. Your friend could not because she already had the 100 added but you can.

You have to actually lose $100.

Easiest way to do it is to just start with a $100 bill and put that in the first machine, play, move around, whatever... until it is all gone - then you will know you lost $100
