Youtube Video of new liquor store and some of the remodeled casino space. Goodbye dingy asian theme gaming and dark 70's wood paneling.

Wow! I walked through there when I was there less than a month ago and aside from the porte cochere and glass doors, it looked NOTHING like that. Maybe there is hope for the place after all!

Why more flippin' pink? A frat boy name on a casino with girly colors makes no sense.

Yeah, I don't get the look they went with. Way better than the old IP, but kinda boring considering the way they could have gone. The bartops looked okay, but I am sure CET put in their crappy paytables. The carpet looks really blah..

It looks like when they set up the WSOP in a big convention center. I'm not sure that's better than what they had. Almost reminds me of how the new Plaza casino looked right after it opened, but with more white and less gray.

All I can think about is how that carpet is going to get really grungy, really fast.

I think before jumping all over the change either way we should wait to see what it looks like once it's 100% done. Having said that though, judging from that video it does look like it's a marked improvement over what was there.

I never got the urge to go in there when it was IP so I have nothing to compare it to.... I'm gonna have to go in and check it out on my september trip. It actually looks half way decent.

Does anyone have the scoop on the prices in the liquor store yet?

I actually had the opposite view but I assumed it was due to the camera. The colors are certainly darker but I prefer that. My first reaction was how bright the lights seemed to be but again I assumed that was due to the camera.

I'm actually surprised this was the first I heard of this. I was under the impression they weren't going to change much and from what I could see there, the entire design seems to have changed inside.

I'll certainly be in there a little in a few weeks. Worst case is I'm not a fan but it is still new. I liked the remodeled checkin desk(the location of it is awful, but the look of it I liked). I'm just not expecting Wynn or Venetian level for this though.

I think if they don't at least do a flamingo-esk fab room remodel. The people who are lured to stayed there from a visit to the casino are going to be really really disappointed in the rooms.

I was thinking that the place now looks like a cross between the flamingo and the trop. It actually looks nicer than Harrahs next door which used to be a step up from the old IP.

Looks like a snoozefest. No more character, just the same crap they use for most casinos these days. Also that video music sounds like a terrible video game

Seriously. CET lacks a certain je ne sais quoi with everything they do.

:beer:I swear that looks like a Guiness tap on the bartop. Thats about what its going to take for me to go in there too. Hard to find on mid strip since the Flamingo pulled the Guiness about 8 years ago.

Watching the video again I think it looks more like a low rent PH. That makes sense given CET has said The Quad is designed to appeal to a younger demographic.

Anyway, I really dislike almost everything CET does. This is no exception.

We stopped in for a look at the construction in early January. It has come a long way since then. What's been redone is a big improvement. The rooms will have to be remodeled extensively before I'd stay there again. Stayed there once about 10 years ago. Haven't ever wanted to sleep there again.

I have been avoiding the place like the plague since 2003, when my buddy Stinky Pete and I crashed in a garden room with two fullsized beds with crusted over bedspreads and a bathroom with more fungi than a penicillin factory. I will miss the fond memories of the Geshia Bar and the 2am parade of hookers.

Where are the Beer Pong tables are going to go at the new QUAD!

    This is true too.

The initial renderings looked much like a low rent ph especially.
