There were a few changes to the game today. Not only was a new slot game introduced and some new rewards, but some limitations were enacted. 1. The total amount of chips you can receive from friends in a day (from those links that give you 50, 101, and 201 chips) is now 20,000. 2. The chips links that are posted on people pages are now limited to 20-30 users. This means, if 31 people click the link, the 31st person will get an "Awwww" message and no chips. 3. Wolfgang Puck Rewards were introduced. 4. Around the World in 80 Plays slot introduced. These are just a couple of the changes that I can find that occured. There may be more. If so, I'll add them to the list.
Obviously can't complain about a free thing, but these changes make playing the game fairly impossible. I will probably stop playing once I get back from my trip to Vegas.
Probably not impossible. Just impossible to easily to it for a bunch of free stuff, which they'd probably really prefer we not do anyway.
I just redeemed for a one night stay at the Mirage in a suite, 2 tickets to Terry Fator, and 2 tickets to Carrot Top - and I never did anything but play the game. I set up no friends and used none of the special tools to earn extra chips - and I never paid for any.
I've had my eye on the Cabana packages personally. But not sure if I can get enough LP's by the end of April. >.<
Ignoring for a mniute the "does anybody have a right to be upset about changes to a free game", this is the type of change they should have done first. Limiting the amound of awards you can redeem affects people's past play and can change the earned value of time (or money) already spent. Changing the daily maximums only affects future play and would have upset much fewer people.
as somebody who's complained a significant amount about this game on more than one occasion, I can honestly say that limiting daily collection is not something that I find upsetting at all. When I started playing this game, I bought $40 worth of chips/LPs, and spent A LOT of time just grinding it out, spinning with low wagers, logging on every day for my bonus spin, those sorts of things. I managed to build up my bankroll pretty well, and now I'm up to about 1.5 million chips, and a significant amount of LPs. the spirit of the game, in my opinion, is to grind your way through it to get what you want. the amount of time you put into it = what reward you get out of it. having said that, the company has made some poor decisions along the way, especially the 3-reward redemption debacle, but they've also been pretty quick to listen to feedback from their players, and the decision they made to grandfather in the rewards that players had already bought was a fair and positive one
Only impossible if you expected to get a free trip every 6 months out of a free facebook game. I never did the link farming. I have a whole 18k points. I expect to get something free every ~6 months, so I get a nice perk for playing a game on downtime twice a year in Vegas. Sounds like a steal to me.
I'm in no way expecting a free trip, hell I've only gotten a buffet pass for my upcoming trip, but by limiting the amount as much as they did, you barely get a chance to grind out each day before busting out. I've seen people say just collect during the week and play on the weekends, but that seems counter intuitive to me. The idea of a game is to get people to play it all the time, not just 1 minutes every couple of hours during the week. Many people who do that will just get bored and stop playing. I understand they need to make money so limiting the rewards is not the issue. I would have rather seem them raise the amount of LPs needed to get a reward but keep the daily collection up so you can at least spin or play blackjack for a little while.
Dang. I just caught on to the whole chip link ...hold ctrl and click thing to collect chips and now I can't! Some of us just can't sit on facebook all day clicking links as soon as our friends post them. no way in hell am I buying chips so I'll have to get by on the chips my properties accrue from now on.
What will probably happen is the higher level people will cut back their friend lists to other big sharers, so they can use each other's links longer.
