Do any casino's downtown have 9/6 DDB or 9/6 Boner Deluxe at the bar at the $1 or $2 level? The paytables at the bars never seem to be full pay so you have to suffer through crappy odds to sit there and get hammered. I do play the 25 cent progressive DDB at 4 Queens but get bored. I like playing at $1 or $2 DDB and want to try Beejays favorite Bonus Deluxe at $1 or $2 as well. Thanks for any help!

9/6 DDB at $1 level can be found at all 3 bars inside The Cal. For sure they also have it at Four Queens, upstairs at the Chicago Brewing Co. Not sure if they have the same paytables at the downstairs bars.

Edit: Check that---Not sure about Dave's Bar which is upstairs at The Cal, next to the sportsbook. But the two downstairs at The Cal have 9/6 DDB.

When I was at MSS last summer they had full pay 25¢ 9/6 JOB machines at the bar. But to get free drinks you had to be betting max coins.

I'd say it is extremely likely that they will still be there.

MSS is known for good VP and rarely downgrades.

I believe there is also 25¢ 9/7 DB at the MSS bar. Great drink service, too. I have gotten hammered several times playing at that bar for a dollar a drink tip.

Oh yes, 9/6 quarter JOB at all the bartops!

Short aside...In 2005 they tried changing the JOB paytables to 8/5 or 6, I don't recall which. Anyway, business fell off so much at the bar machines that they had to go back to 9/6 after 3 months.

We're friends with many of the bartenders there and they told us about standing around for hours w/o anybody playing. Lots of locals play at MSS and they pissed them off also. Many tourists don't pay attention, but knowledgeable VP players did.

BTW at MSS the bartops on DDB, any level are 9/5.

The MSS does as well. If I'm not mistaken all three Boyd downtown properties have full pay on all VP machines.

Bartop DDB at MSS is 9/5, not 9/6, which means a 97.87% return vs 98.98% return for 9/6.

JOB at MSS is 9/6 for a 99.54% return, plus the scratch cards on all games there.

But anyway, you have to go to the Cal to get 9/6 DDB at a downtown Boyd bartop.

Thanks joe! Looks like 25c 9/6 job, tasty beer, and scratch cards (I hope) at boars head in February... Can't wait.

Try the rear bar (it's semi enclosed by a wall with 2 doorway entries. Good odds and large strong comp drinks. Great bar tenders!
