Looking for good pubs on the strip, wings/nahos/pizza/steak sandwitch/drink deals the usual, prefer around MGM but not mandatory.

Also want to go to a good burger place where you can build your own big azz burger??

    Thanks!

Though it's just a little east of the strip on Tropicana... Grind Burger Bar and Lounge is a must for those who like to build their own burgers! I LOVE the burgers here!

Is it safe to walk there from the strip and back? Are side roads off the strip safe?

I am a big fan of The Pub at Monte Carlo. Good to watch sports, have great burgers, and an excellent Beer Selection.

    Great Burgers

Try the Burger Brasserie at Paris.Great burgers with your choice of toppings, and THE best onion rings! It is set up like a sports bar, with lots of TV's for games. It is located in the area that connects Paris with Ballys Bob

Our favorite burger place is BurgerBar next to Mandalay Bay in Mandalay Place Shops. It's set up like a sports bar with televisions visible from every table, and small tv screens in each booth. They have veggie burgers, chicken, and several types of organic beef - along with a gazillion toppings. They have a selection of beers, full bar, and killer alcoholic milkshakes.

    Yummy!

It's a safe walk... much of it is along the MGM property and parking garage, then BJ's Bar (cool place to stop for a cocktail), then a huge piece of undeveloped property. The walk is across from McCarran's Executive Jet area. Tropicana is well traveled and IMHO safe.

    A vote for Stripburger

I havent been to any of the others mentioned, and I know the OP said he was looking for somewhere close to MGM, but Stripburger across from Encore is fantastic!

Just got back from Vegas last night and for our last evening there, we ate at KGB at Harrahs. We were staying there and wanted a burger. They have several different types of burgers and you can build your own if you want. Hubby had the regular burger and it was huge! Our son had the lamb burger and really enjoyed it. I didn't want a burger, so I opted for the cheeseburger soup. It was served with a cornbread square in the middle of the bowl. The bowl didn't look that big, but it seemed to be bottomless. I couldn't finish it. I would also recommend the "huge"vanilla bean malt. The waitress came out with the large soda glass filled with the malt along with the large metal malt mixing cup that still had a very large quantity still in it. I shared with my hubby and son and I still have some left to top off my glass. The prices were Vegas prices, but not outlandish. If you have a Total Rewards card, you get the discount.

Ri Ra Irish pub and Buger Bar are steps away from each other. Both are great.
