I've stayed at Mandalay 3x. They've mentioned to me that I have privileges to access a lounge on the 62nd floor (or 60th)? For some reason I've never checked out that lounge.

I'll be at Mandalay next Thursday - Sunday and intend on definitely finding the lounge.

Question: Are there complimentary alcoholic drinks in the lounge? What sort of food/snacks are found there? Hours of operation?

    Thanks!

I've been to miX. This is a Noir, maybe Platinum, too, MLife players' lounge they tell me about at VIP checkin. It's in Mandalay.

Maybe Foundation Room, I think it lists as the 62nd floor.

No, not Foundation Room. It's an MLife lounge in the hotel. Maybe it no longer exists?

i just stayed last week, comp room but desk guy upgraded us to a sky view suite for $75 a nite. saw the lounge you mentioned and tried to go in. a lady greeted us and explained it was for "fully comped guests only". oh well, we tried. we stayed on the 61st floor but can't remember if lounge was on 61 or 62 (too many drinks! ha ha). it's there, good luck!

Thanks, 4dazeoff! Phew, I know I've been a bit tipsy every time I've checked in at Mandalay, so I was beginning to think I'd imagined the lounge story by the nice ladies in VIP checkin.

Yes, I'll be in a Sky Suite as a comped guest. Sorry you weren't able to get in the lounge.

I'll let you know how it is. :)

Thanks! Makes sense I've never seen it as every time I checkin, they claim no floor 62 rooms are available. I'm usually on 60. Let's hope I can finagle my way onto 62 this time! If not, I'll still make it up to the lounge.

The Penthouse lounge is on the 62nd floor. You take the elevators that are opposite the stairs that go down to the beach level in the lobby. I stick my Noir card in the slot in the elevator and it works. I've been in it a bunch of times, it's a nice little place to have some drinks and watch a game. When celebrities/athletes are on property they hang out in there, I've seen Charles Barkley in there

There is an attendant, an open bar, a theater room with about 6 TV's, and a few sitting areas. They also have a cold hors deuvers set up with cheese, crackers, fruit etc. I was told by my host that the lounge is for Noir card holders, doesn't matter if you're fully comped or not even though I always am. The Penthouse lounge is open Thurs-Sun and closes at 8pm each night.

Kimsa I'm heading out there this coming Thursday, you gonna be there that weekend? Maybe we can finally meet up for those drinks. I'm staying in THE hotel Thursday to Monday, might go to the fight at MGM but not sure yet.

BBKingLV, I'll be there the exact same time as you, except I'm staying at Mandalay. I'll text you, definitely want to meet up for drinks, finally! I met Charles Barkley in the players lounge at Mohegan Sun in CT.

    Sounds good to me!

Funny thing about Barkley, he was throwing $100s at the bartenders at Mohegan and he spilled a glass of red wine all over this woman's white blouse, and offered to pay for it - they didn't take the $, and instead, they took a picture with him. When I talked to his "handlers" they told me he'd just dropped $600,000 at roulette.

He drops a lot of $$$$. When I was there the end of Sept I heard he was down around $500,000.

I'd guess him being down that much would be comparable to someone like me being down $5k. Must be nice!

Wrong. Mix is open to general public.

There are 2-3 floors of suites. Most folks staying in these suites have access to the lounge. Limited hours... forget, but mostly weekend. Yes, they have a bar and light food. It is more like the normal hotel concierge lounge.

(removed my wrong comment about NOIR - I do believe NOIR gets access. But, not everyone that pays for suite on those floors is eligible)

When I earned the Noir card I was told I can now use the lounge on the 62nd floor. I interpreted that as "you need a Noir card to access it". When I get in the elevator and hit the 62nd floor it doesn't register and take me there unless I stick the Noir card in to the slot. I tried a platinum mlife card and my friends gold card and the 62nd floor doesn't light up. I stick the Noir card in the slot and the 62nd floor lights up.
