Help with a nice "not to crowded" pool

I'm going back to Vegas for the first time in 6 years! And mom is coming with me. We want to stay somewhere with a nice pool, that we will actually find chairs at. Loud music - party type atmosphere is ok, as long as there is ample seating for us to drink at. Any suggestions?

 

The last time I stayed at MGM I never had trouble finding a chair by their pool. This included middle of the day arrival so I wouldnt think it would be a problem finding a spot

The Nirvana and Breathe pools at the Hard Rock are surprisingly accessible and very, very nice. Don't confuse them with the ReHab pools (on the other side of the grounds), which are crowded and busy all the time. Both pools are surrounded by cabanas and have lots of seating around the pools. The age groups that use these pool areas are generally 30+ and they're both completely different that what you've seen on TV (Rehab). The Nirvana pool is right outside of the HRH Tower (all-suites) and there's drink service, swim-up gaming and a bar there as well. Very accessible from the HRH elevators to the pool... no walking though the casino.

 

Im not so sure about this. I went in august and the pool was pretty packed in the afternoon. Took a little time to find a chair but when we did it was in the back near the enterance to Wet republic. So we were able to enjoy the music from the day club and see the people walking in and out.

I wouldnt say there werent any chairs, but if you get there later you wont be right in front of the pool. But on a side note MGM has a cool lazy river and multiple pools.

If you want to step down a tier, Excalibur usually has a good amount of chairs open at their pools which they recently updated a couple years ago i beleive. But you may see alot more kids there than anywhere else.

 

I like the pools at Venetian, Golden Nugget, TI. Easy to find chairs and not mega crowded.

 

Wynncore, Aria, and Bellagio has big pool areas and had never had a problem finding a chair. If u do happen to stroll in late on a busy saturday the pool atendent will help u out.

Treasure Island as earlier mentioned is a bad choice since the pool area is so small and often crowded. V/P is only average imo since its also a little to small compare to how big the hotel is.

 

What time of year? Midweek/Weekend?

 

I really like Bally's pool, very relaxing and understated. Bellagio has a very nice pool, quiet too. I would stay away from Mirage, MGM, Mandalay (I am seeing a theme here. HET vs MGM, lol)

I would say Aria, Venetian, Mandalay Bay and Bellagio are large enough where there is no problem finding a chair. I would avoid Mirage, Flamingo, and MGM

 

I like MGM because you have many options for pools and such. I always liked the fact that they have an adult only pool which is right by one of the pool bars!!! Recently, I have been staying at Monte Carlo, but their pools are pretty busy but I have never had a problem finding a chair. I also like it because they let you sit on the side of the lazy river or stand to the side while in the water.

Our trip is Tuesday - Saturday June 4th - 8th. We have narrowed it down to Monte Carlo ($200) Mirage ($300) Aria ($500). I'm really afraid the Mirage will be bad in June. Never stayed at the Monte Carlo, and have never even seen Aria. Just not sure if its worth the extra $$ compared to Monte Carlo.

 

All listed resorts are nice but dont forget about the resort fees(plus tax). I stayed at Paris for 5 nights in July and loved the pool . Plenty of seats even in mid summer, good music, not crazy, descent drinks, nice outside dining area, no resort fee, and the pool ground arent massive where you would get lost.

 

In my experience,your two choices have very crowded pool areas.
To me, Aria and Bellagio are the best choices. Both large,spacious pool areas and both have way nicer rooms than Monte Carlo with tiny bathrooms and small windows.
The pool area at Mirage is nicer than MC but it can be VERY difficult to find seating on crowded weekends.
If you can swing the extra $ try Aria.

 

On my last trip to Vegas, we went a little away from the strip to Tahiti Village, which is a time share, but they also rent out rooms like a hotel, which we did. I didn't think that I would like it, since it wasn't on the strip, but it won me over, because the pool was so nice. I've stayed at a majority of the nicer hotels on the strip and none of the pools are as nice as Tahiti Village. We never had a problem with overcrowding and easily got chairs, both in the shade and sun, when we wanted to move. The bar makes cheap, strong drinks and they have a lazy river that rocks! I can't wait to go back here for the pool. The rooms were really nice too.
